Black Pet Gates

With a super-tall 74-inch height, this gate effectively keeps cats and large dogs from jumping over, while the narrow 1.37-inch bar spacing keeps small pets from squeezing through. Designed for everyday ease, it features one-handed operation and swings open 90 degrees in either direction—and closes automatically when opened at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Installation is quick and simple, with dual mounting holes for extra stability, and it fits door frames up to 96.5 inches high. Wall protectors prevent damage to your walls, and the adjustable width (30.3–38.2 inches) ensures a snug, custom fit for your doorway. This versatile pet gate is perfect for doorways, stairways, and more—keeping your pets safely contained wherever you need them.

I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. However, since I had no problem with the metal parts during the month I’ve used it, no deducted star there, either.. Janice. Durant, OK. Thu Jun 25 2026

This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. It opens and closes easily with adult human hands, meaning the dogs or my niece can’t open it. It also has a lock, which will be great when my niece is a little older. It is permanently attached to the wall so I don’t have to fumble with a gate, and it isn’t in the way. I am quite happy with this mesh gate.. Anonymous. Sat Jul 11 2026

This door is exactly what we needed to have a safe space for my cats when my big dogs are around. It comes with several parts that make it very adjustable for a variety of door frames. I will say that the material isn’t super thick so probably not good for any big rowdy dogs that will jump or lunge at it because it would probably bend or break relatively easily. But aside from that it was very easy to install and was exactly what we needed!. Shelby Cajas. Santa Paula, CA. Wed Sep 23 2026

Reminder: Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Important: Do not cut off the rolled strip before installation is complete! As a busy parent and pet owner, I was worried about my toddler crawling onto the stairs or my puppy darting through doorways. This pressure-mounted gate solved it all! Made of thick steel with 2-inch spacing, it securely blocks pets—tested to hold 180 lbs. The 180° two-way door opens automatically: under 90°, it swings shut; at 90°, it stays open. I can easily carry groceries and open it one-handed. The door width is adjustable, ranging from 29 to 109 inches, suitable for every different opening where you need a door sill. The double-lock keeps kids safe but lets adults open quickly. Best part? No drilling—I installed it without damaging walls.

Used this to keep my dogs out of the front seat of my motor home. Couldn’t find anything made for that, but this works fine! I love that it has a gate so I can get in the back easily.. Linda. West Haven, UT. Fri Oct 02 2026

The 71" extra-high gate can prevent cats from jumping over the gate and also prevents children from climbing over it. The space between the fences is very narrow at 1.37 inches, which prevent puppies, kittens or children to squeeze through or get their heads stuck between the fences. And this safety gate is adjustable in width, making it possible to safely divide areas where pets or babies should not enter, such as kitchens, entrances, or staircases. It can be adjusted to fit the space, making it very convenient.

This gate worked extremely well for us when we needed a way to keep our 3 huge dogs (1 is 88 lbs) away from our contractors. Stayed firmly in place without being screwed into the wall and was very secure when you lower the little lever that locks it in place.. Rachel. New Braunfels, TX. Sat Aug 29 2026

This is nice, once its up. Could be a bit sturdier but will do. I dont think my cats will get out at least, would not recommend for mid to large sized dogs however. Also, Im going to be painfully honest and say that assembly is only for those who enjoy tough puzzles, as the picture only directions leave a lot to be desired!. Lisa Lorelle. Fountain, CO. Ensure a safer and more focused driving experience with our heavy-duty metal dog car barrier. Designed to securely confine your pets in the cargo area, it effectively prevents them from accessing the front seats, reducing distractions and enhancing road safety. Crafted from high-strength tubular with a sleek black powder-coated finish, this barrier is both durable and stylish. It features a tool-free, tension-mounted installation with rubberized ends to protect your vehicle's interior. Adjustable to fit a wide range of vehicles, it spans 34" to 60" in width and 30" to 50" in height, making it ideal for medium to large breeds. Maintain a clear view of the rear while keeping your pets safely in place during travel.

This is a sturdy barrier, that will help contain your pups in the cargo compartment of your SUV. It is easily assembled, and is pretty quiet during travel. Be sure to measure your cargo compartment to ensure proper sizing. I am convinced a determined dog can get through almost any barrier, but at least this one provides a solid deterrant for pups that are casually considering becoming co-pilots. The main issue with this, and most barriers, is that when assembled at the proper height (our cargo area height is 41”) there is a large (16” in our case) open space at the bottom of the barrier that could easily allow a mid-sized dog to get under the barrier. So if you have a smaller dog, you’ll have to come up with a way to block off that bottom gap to ensure your pup stays where you intend for it to stay. This is our second barrier over the years, and it is far superior to the first we used for our pups.. Christopher. Jarrettsville, MD. Wed Apr 30 2025

It comes with floor secures too but we have tile and I’m not sure about drilling those in at this point. Thankfully my dogs get the list and keep to their side! You will need proper wall anchor screws for drywall as one of the hooks is starting to slip out of the wall from use. The product itself is sturdy and a great buy. This Extra Tall Pet Gate comes with an adjustable cat door to let cats pass freely while restricting larger dogs. The elevated frame prevents pets from jumping over, and narrow bar spacing stops small animals from squeezing through. Constructed from sturdy reinforced metal, it adopts tool-free pressure-mounted installation without drilling or damaging walls. Suitable for doorways, hallways and staircases, this sleek pet barrier matches most home styles and is ideal for multi-pet households.

I needed a gate for the bottom of our stairs, but the opening is much wider than a normal doorway, so finding one that actually fit was a struggle. This one worked perfectly! I love that the extensions allowed us to fit the entire opening without having to drill a bunch of holes (because we did NOT want to drill into the banister) or come up with some weird DIY solution. Once everything was adjusted and tightened, it feels very sturdy and secure. The gate itself is tall, the bars feel solid, and I really like the support piece at the bottom because it helps keep everything stable. The door is also a good width, so you can actually walk through comfortably instead of having to turn sideways every time. Another big plus is that it looks nice especially with our black accents throughout the house. I was worried an extra-wide gate would look huge and awkward in our living room, but the black actually looks really clean with our space. When we don't need it closed, the gate opens up enough that it doesn't feel like the stairs are permanently blocked off. Installation took a little adjusting to get the tension right across such a wide opening, but once we got it set up correctly, it was absolutely worth it. If you have an awkward or extra-wide staircase/opening and regular baby or pet gates aren't wide enough, I definitely recommend this one. Very happy with it!. Dana. Houston, TX. Tue Oct 06 2026

Please measure the size before purchasing in order to buy the appropriate size of the door sill! Note: Don’t cut the zip tie until fully installed! Struggling to contain my curious puppy? This 30-inch gate saved me. Its ultra-narrow 1.37-inch bars stopped my mini Dachshund from slipping through, while the vertical design frustrated my climbing cat. I installed it without drilling—just tightened the knobs, and it held strong against my 50-lb Lab’s zoomies. The double-lock latch is genius: nobreaksm carrying groceries. It expanded to fit my uneven hallway, and the auto-close door silenced my worries. Even my toddler’s fingers are safe!
