We love these lights but they do get HOT, as mentioned in some of the other reviews. I don’t think they have proper ventilation holes to release heat (LEDs aren’t supposed to get this hot). We have them in hallways as sconces so they aren’t on all the time. The first one we ordered was defective (didn’t screw on properly) so we’ve tried three of them (we originally ordered two) and they all got hot. So it’s just a design flaw.. Lindsay. Edmonton, AB. Great sconce! I hate using the overhead lights in my kitchen, and my kitchen doesn’t have windows, so it gets pretty dark at night even with the light it gets from the lamps in my living room. Because of my dislike of using the big lights, I have been searching for a way to avoid using them without putting a lamp on my kitchen counter and creating clutter. Cue this sconce! It checks all my boxes on clutter-free lighting and looks great. Plus, I love that it has a plug-in option—I didn’t want anything hardwired since I live in an apartment building, and I feel like most cute, reasonably priced sconces are only offered in a hardwired option. I got two of these sconces and together they make my kitchen so bright. Goodbye to having to choose between straining my eyes when cooking at night or turning on the dreaded overhead lights. I definitely could have gotten away with only getting one, but whatever haha. Two adds ✨ambiance✨. I am very happy with this purchase.. Anonymous. Somerville, MA. Thu Sep 10 2026
