I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. As soon as I picked it up by the column with two hands, the base broke completely off of the column. It's like the once assembled you cannot lift it as the top 3/4 of the column is heavier than the base causing it to separate. I am devastated as I just love this lamp. This was my original review....This is a gorgeous lamp and it was super easy to assemble. The linen looking shade compliments the lamp perfectly and I couldn’t wait to buy a bulb to turn it on.
