What a great lamp my DEER! I'm very happy with my purchase - look how cute this is and how it complements my nightstand! The 3-way nightlight is adorable. Please note that the wire around the center is part of the decoration - it wasn't mentioned in the instructions and I could see someone unraveling it thinking it was part of the cord (I almost did:)). The shade was easy to snap on and it was well protected in the box. If I gave any points off it would be that you can see the wire rim if you are standing up looking at the lamp and the charging port is easily reachable for the person on the right side of the bed but the person on the left side will have to turn the lamp to get to the port (not a big deal but a detail to be aware of). I like the size of the lamp. It has a smaller footprint and doesn’t take up a lot of room on the end table. I especially like the on/off touch switch at the base of the lamp. The USB port at the base of the lamp is a convenient feature as well. What I don’t like about it, and the reason I gave it a 4, is the lampshade. The shade seems to mute the light coming from the bulb. The light has a yellowish dull glow not very conducive for reading. As other buyers have mentioned in their reviews, Wayfair’s suggestions WILL be the wrong kind of bulb so don’t make the same mistake they did & buy them with your order. You need a very specific kind & that is one with a standard E26 base, but it must be a G45 globe bulb. I had to buy one online.
