The shades fit nicely, and the instructions (though hardly needed) were clear and straightforward. The quality is impressive for the price. The bases have a substantial feel, the finish looks even better in person, and the linen shades give off a warm, inviting light. This is a nice lamp. It appears high quality. Its very big. The base is about 10 inches wide at its thickest. The candle in the photo is 8 ounces and the tumbler is 16 ounces. The measurements are correct. I probably would have been happy with something a little bit smaller but Ill get used to it. Nice lamps but I don’t care for the lampshades thy come with. The original shades are Fairly easy to assemble. The fabric has some weight and it attaches with velco at the back.
