I LOVE this lamp! It is beautiful and unique, and adds a soft, warm glow in the room. It is exactly as I hoped it would be when I saw it in the catalogue. I wonderd whether a 40 watt bulb would give out enough light but it is just perfect for ambience, In fact, I used the dimmer to soften the light a bit more. The only caution I would have is that you can see the bare bulb when you are standing up and looking directly down on the lamp, Therefore, I don't have it on an end table that is chair height (the glare would bother me).
