Like them very much. Pretty much what i expected. However, the shade are thin and the bulb outline is clearly visible through the shade. Also, the frame of the shade does not line up with the seams in the shade. Additionally during assembly after screwing the light fixture to the base there was a gap that fiddling with it did not close the gap. Update I did not do an adequate inspection when received. We were doing renovations so the lamp went back in the box until project completion so the return window passed. I can only hope my home repair is not too obvious. Still like them.. Theresa M. These are really cute lamps. The bases are made of plastic, but they look like weathered wood. The linen shades are very attractive with some visible horizontal and vertical threads. You have to assemble the shades (see photo), but it is super easy to do that. Pro tip: lay the fabric flat as much as possible (it will curl) and then attach several clips to the big ring and several clips to the small ring, rotating as you go. Then repeat the process until you get to the end and can secure the shade with the attached velcro. (Don't try to do one ring all the way and then the other one.) Also, when you screw the top part of the base to the rest of the base, let the cord dangle free and spin as you go. If you don't do that, the cord will fight you and make it hard to screw in the top. The process is actually very easy and the result is two charming lamps! The only improvement would be if the lamps had a clear plastic cord instead of a black cord. The switch is a rotary type. The shades were easy to assemble, but the metal rings are not covered like they would be in a pre-assembled shade.
