This vacuum is perfect for my little place. It’s just a smaller version than the larger one that my daughter has. But the suction on this vacuum is outstanding! I read some of the other reviews who said it didn’t have much suction power but this one sucked up a lot of dog hair. I haven’t had a vacuum in a week and I have a golden retriever. You can see in the photo how much hair it sucked off my rug on the the floor and from the couch! I love this little vacuum!! it also has a really long cord, which is great. I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging in somewhere else. It has several attachments that are helpful too. I also read where someone said when they vacuumed dust came out from the back. I didn’t have that problem at all and I’ve only got the one rug in my living room, which is a small space rug and then I have the hardwood floors, there was no dust coming out of this vacuum cleaner. Well this definitely is light weight. You can see the first time usage and I have alot of dirt already in the canister so it sucking power is very good. I gave it a four because it is not a quiet vacuum nor can it clean carpets as well like I was told from the customer service. Representative. Do not get this vacuum if you have high carpet or shag. I haven’t used it as of yet but I am so excited to get it unloaded and out of the box as soon as I get my carpet vacuumed really well furniture moved out and I’ll be off and cleaning with my new Hair Pro Pet Carpet Cleaner. I love this vacuum. It works great. The only thing is the cord will get stuck in the bottom of the vacuum if you’re not careful while using. Other than that, I love it and it works so well especially cleaning up after 2 large dogs who shed a lot. (A Red Golden Retriever and a Bernese Mountain dog). I’m converting from an upright to a canister vacuum, so I’ve had to change my technique in how I vacuum the house. Instead of starting at one end of the room and then stepping backward to make the next path as I’ve always done with an upright, that way just doesn’t work for a few reasons, but to keep this brief, instead I now pick a section of the room to start (my rooms are small to average in size at only 1100 sq feet total), so it’s usually towards the center of the room where I position the canister vacuum and begin a starburst pattern. I keep the canister vacuum relatively in the same spot, until I am ready to begin in another section. This way there is less moving of the canister vacuum. Now the hose and handle are quite long when combined on the Kenmore canister vacuum, not to mention sturdy, so I only reposition 2 or 3 times in my smaller-size rooms, and I’m done in that room. Pros are, it gets under furniture much easier than an upright, hands down, and it is quieter. A bonus of this machine is you can control the suction, and therefore that is done with changing the speed of the motor, so if you can do light cleaning at a lower suction and not feel like your waking the entire house., The noise level drops dramatically. For me, this alone seals the deal on this cleaning machine. I also liked that all the tools are stored on the body of the vacuum and covered, so they’re not getting knocked off, and I’m not having to constantly run to the closet to dig through a bag of parts looking for the right attachment. All full size vacuums should follow Kenmore ways of thinking and designing vacuum cleaners in my opinion. Even though I found my work around in my style of vacuuming, it is a bit more difficult to carry around, a bit bulky, but I am not at all regretting my purchase of a canister vac, and I highly recommend the option pop and go bagged canister vacuum by Kenmore. I think it does just as good, if not better, of a job than vacuums two or three times higher in price. It’s built sturdy, which makes it a little heavier, but I expect it to last for many, many years. I suggest you give this vacuum a test yourself and see if you agree. If I could give this 10 starts I would. I used to have a competitor brand that had not so good suction - and I just thought that was how all home steam cleaners were, so I've gone a long time without having a steam cleaner in my home - and my carpets looked like it. Recently my German Shepherd has decided to mark in the house so I had to do something. This Shark steam cleaner is nothing short of a miracle. SO easy to use. And so effective. I cleaned 4 areas and the carpet looks like new - with no residual pet odor or strong cleaning solution odor. The suction is so efficient that my carpet was dry within 3 hours (with the help of a fan I set on it). Yesterday I came home from work on lunch and my Australian Shepherd had eaten almost a whole bag od treats and it gave her - we'll just say - digestive problems. it was a disaster on my area rugs - 4 different areas. I cleaned up the bulk of the "waste" first then set this Shark to work and let me tell you - my area rugs have not looked this clean since I first rolled them out. I didn't know if I was going to do my area rugs with this because I was worried about water getting through to the hardwood - but it uses so little water in somehow such an efficient way that there was no dampness on the bottom of the rugs... I checked in several places. When I ordered it, I was worried about the size of the dirty water tank as some of the reviews talked about how small it is - but to me it was perfect. Manageable. My older steam cleaner had a huge dirty water tank and it was messy and cumbersome to empty. The tank on this Shark is perfect to just pull off and dump in the toilet - give it a good rinse and click it back into place. Same with the clean water/solution tank. All very easy to manage. Trust me - this is THE one you want. I've now used it on regular pile carpet in the upstairs of my house and on low pile area rugs and it is nothing short of shocking on how well this thing works. Note - I've yet to use the hand tool part. The blue solution that comes with it is in a larger container than the main solution in the yellow labeled bottle. To me that should be the other way around. I use far more of the regular yellow labeled solution than the blue labeled one for the hand tool. And I ordered 4 sets of the solution in my original order - not knowing that this would be the case and again the blue bottle is bigger. I guess people use the hand tool more than I do. Anyways - in future I'll just be ordering the yellow label by itself... it'll take me a long time to work through using the blue label solution with the hand held tool. Bad knees and hands - so I'm just not one to get down on my hands and knees to do that kind of thing and the main part of the machine is literally so effective I haven't had to do that. Good luck. Great out of the box! It wasn’t too complicated, which I was worried about, and the app is very easy to use to designate different areas and tell the vacuum where not to go. Easily ran the first vacuum and mop, and the floors were immediately much cleaner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since receiving the Bissell CrossWave Edge Cordless, it’s become one the appliancesI use almost daily. Between my dog that sheds and tracks dirt in and toddler on the move, I reach for this tool constantly. What I love most is how it vacuums and mops at the same time. Between dog hair, spilled snacks, and random sticky spots (thanks, toddler), I used to have to vacuum and then go back with a mop. Now it’s one pass and done, which saves a ton of time and energy. I find I am also less annoyed at cleaning messes now because I no longer have to take out an army of cleaning supplies, just the Bissel Crosswave Edge and the job is done in a few quick seconds. It handles pet hair really well on hard floors, and the mopping function actually scrubs up dried-on messes instead of just pushing them around. That’s been huge for things like juice, yogurt, or muddy paw prints. The cordless design is another big win. I can quickly grab it for a 5-minute cleanup after meals or let the toddler run around without dragging a cord everywhere. It’s easy enough that I actually clean more often instead of letting messes pile up. A couple things to keep in mind: It’s best on hard floors—it’ll do area rugs, but it’s not a deep carpet cleaner The battery lasts around 30 to 40 minutes, which I found gave me adequate time to clean all the spaces I need while not lose cleaning power. You do have to clean out the dirty water tank after each use or the black water will smell horrid if you let it sit. For a busy home with pets and kids, it’s truly the biggest game-changer.
