I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. Lower settings handle even my flat washable rugs and don’t suck them up. The real test? I accidentally sucked up a metal door stopper that had broken and I immediately stopped the machine and took it apart to find the piece. Found it…in the bag. We've only had it 2 days so it's a very general review. So far so good. It's the first canister vac I have had so I wasn't sure what to think but I researched based on having hard wood floors, budget and longevity and this model was recommended. Love my Miele!!! Like the name honey, its sweet!!! Sometimes it falls over when I tug it, or gets tangled in its cord--and its cord could be longer, and it has a tough time with the thick shag carpet in the bedroom, but, this vacuum has agility and willingly moves forward, quietly sucking up the stuff. The wand is long and easy to use. Vacuuming furniture is a joy, its a pretty machine. Ive never sent so much on a vacuum, but Ive wanted a Miele canister for ages. The vacuum was $999 on another site so I tried Wayfair. The description was confusing as to what attachments came with it and for that reason I give it 4 stars. The vacuum is perfect. I did end up buying a turbo power head from another site (having to buy a power head separately is pretty standard with these high end vacuums). I have gone through numerous vacuums that don’t work well or were battery dependent. I just need a good vacuum I can count on and I think this is the one. Very easy and smooth to use.
