It was easy to put together! I did it by myself in under 30 minutes! It is adorable and looks very nice in the backyard. The only thing is that it is small. The size in the description is accurate but I guess I thought the strays outside were smaller. They are not fat...just big. I put treats up the step and on top to entice them to it...it worked for one of them. Great price...Looks great...Just wish a little bit bigger for MY strays.

This is an elegant cat house, insulated walls with 2 lockable pet doors, 1 lockable hinged door, asphalt/shingle like material on roof & ramp. Easy to assemble. ** INSTALL TIP: Ensure the 2 roof components meet well for alignment. I suggest installing the hinged roof FIRST with the top roof piece attached BEFORE attaching the non-hinged/static roof top. ** To make this more durable for outdoors, I repainted the cat condo with exterior house paint. The original paint feels like a very thin primer that wouldn't hold up to winter or rainy weather well. I put a 1" pink foam board (owen corning FOAMULAR) in the lower level as the floor area. I used the thin styrofoam pieces which came in the shipping box and duct taped them together on the floor of the 2nd story. There needs to be air gaps for cats to breath, so the hinged door has a 1/4" gap by the door lock, plus the hinged roof component has about 1/8" gap on the hinged end. The room is quite spacious. for the bottom I placed a sherpa cat pad which contains a mylar layer. It helps reflect cat heat. The cat family is enjoying this house. I may replace the hinged glass door with vertical clear vinyl strips so cat can come/go more easily and there is no chance of locking them inside by accident. This fits a small cat momma with three 3-month old kittens. They seem to enjoy it and I place it near an exterior home light where they feel safe. The cats had been sleeping on my outdoor furniture, under the waterproof furniture covers. Now they prefer the house. I plan to build a 2' tall platform and screw the house onto it. Cats like height to stay away from prey. highly recommend.

I bought this for indoor use, and it came on time and undamaged. The soft wood split in one area when joining the pieces. I glued and clamped it, easy fix but for the cost it would have been nice not to have to make repairs mid construction. It is as cute in person as it is online. I struggle to leave any product alone, so I sanded out the edges of it, they're fairly rough. For indoor use the height is a shame, just reaches the bottom trim of a standard-ish window sill so the cats' have to "work" to see outside instead of just lazily laying around watching birds. In comparison to other decorative cat houses with similar dimensions it is a good deal. Assembly is tedious but simple (honestly would be really fun for an industrious, cat loving, middle schooler to assemble, plus it's essentially an unfinished surface so they could paint it).

This cat enclosure is really a great looking addition to our patio and the cats are SO happy with it! They are completely indoor cats, and we have felt sorry for them every time they huddle around the screen doors and windows. I have researched for a very long time for an enclosure. I read SO many reviews, looked at products all over town as well as many internet sites. I came back to Wayfair (as usual:)). This cattery is sturdier than many in similar price ranges. The color is attractive out of the box. We will likely stain it once a year though. We live on a high elevation desert mesa, and it is a hard climate for things left out of doors. Assembly take some time, patience and (mostly) attention to detail. But it was not really difficult. All of the parts arrived together and unharmed. One panel had a very slight warp in it, but it wasn’t enough to threaten the integrity of the structure. Laying it out on the ground and making certain the parts were showing the stamped letters that coincided with the instructions was key. Also key is being certain up & down are correct. It is a project that requires two adults on occasion. Holding walls up to connect them together, and especially to get the roof on. But the whole project was doable, even for two um...older...women! We put it up to our sunroom so we could create a safe way for cats to come in & out on their own. Because of the overhang of the roof, it cannot be placed flush to a wall. In order to make it safe and escape proof, we first put a cat door in the sunroom with a very sturdy, outside wall kit. On the outside, we built more space -like a very short “tunnel” around the cat door. This was done with scrap 2x4’s, basically forming a box on the exterior of the cat door. Then we lined up a cattery wall to the cat door, cut out a piece of the wall with wire cutters. Stapled the edges of the wall to the tunnel, then reinforced the cut on the inside by attaching 1x2s around the cut, through the wall of cattery to the tunnel 2x4s. Finally, we put pavers on the inside floor and covered them with a faux turf rug to lift them up a bit and keep the floor cooler. We really love the way it turned out, and so do our precious cats. We are no longer having to move them away to get in or out of our doors. We have bird feeders & birdbaths out in the yard so that birding keeps their interest too. I have never written such a long review. We just love it, we even put a couple of our chairs near them so we can all sit out on out patio together. :) If you have been looking for awhile too, I highly recommend it!

I searched for something to keep my cat in so he would be safe outside. After searching for a few weeks i finally found this. It's very sturdy and made well, but my cat didn't care for it. He felt like he was in a cage and just whimpered the whole time he was in it. I did leave it in the house for almost a week before putting him in it hoping he would get used to it and love it, but that just didn't happen. I am going to try again when i can be outside with him. I give it 5 stars because it's constructed well and has views on all sides plus has a solid top so he's shielded from the sun. There's nothing wrong with it at all. It's just my cat likes to be able to roam around freely without being contained. Pros: easy assembly, constructed well Cons: could be a bit longer

I received my Rines Outdoor Cat House with Doors promptly by FedEx. It was Extremely easy to put together. Unfortunately, 2 panels did not align up with the screws and it took 3 attempts to get all the correct items. This house is very durable and made for the weather. This has allowed my cat to stay outside during the day and have shelter. I put my cat food inside the bottom door and it keeps it dry and doesn’t allow magpies to eat all the food! My cat has yet to use the top door, but he does enjoy the very top to sunbathe. Highly recommend this item for your cat!

I am so glad I made the splurge for this cat climber and house. It is definitely large than I expected, nice surprise. It comes in 2 heavy (35-40 pound) boxes. The cat house was assembled in about 30 minutes by 1 person. Very sturdy. Due to the weight, if you are planning on moving it after completion, I suggest doing so prior to putting the 2 sections together as it is still doable by one person at that point. My cats quickly approved it, climbed to the top and chose their perches. After adding a pillow to one section, I soon found 2 cats cuddled together sleeping. PS. The litter box section is brilliant. Our box fits perfectly and stops litter tracking.

I tried another type of cat enclosure product from another company and I really liked how easy it was to put up and take down and the price, however the second time I set it up I bumped it with a garden hose and it broke that easily.... This product is so much more durable. It is very easy to assemble and I even went back and bought an attachment to it because the cat loves it so much. The cat is a rescue and is missing one of her front legs and I am not sure if she could survive out their in the neighborhood, but she obviously remembers the days when she could be outside so she cries to go out and spends hours in this enclosure. I have it on the deck so that I can keep an eye on her. I can read from other posts that the weather will eventually wear it out, so I assume that I will need to buy a cover. I see that the manufacturer makes one for it. I just wish that it was part of the package instead of providing these fancy storage cases....I would much rather have the cover. Pros: easy assembly and durable Cons: the weather will catch up with it, so I assume that it needs a cover if left outside

I think I would have loved the pet pens except that I never received them. They were delivered to my home but I was at work and they were stolen along with a new laptop I had ordered from Dell. I filed a police report because this was about a total of $1000. It certainly wasn't your fault and I am so upset. I am a teacher and am not wealthy by any means. I plan to reorder at a later date. I hope the lowlife that stole my my merchandise sleeps well at night-probably feeding their drug habit. I'm sorry - just upset. Thanks. Mary W. I have loved everything I've ordered from you all! For a few weeks, my cat Sparky acted as if the forest green KatKabin Outdoor Cat House (which is on the front porch) did not exist. But this morning I opened the front door at 4 a.m. and to my delight I saw a bit of fur sticking out of the little house. I'm so glad she will be sleeping there as the weather gets cooler. The only thing I am not krazy about is the foam pad inside the kabin. After I took it out to examine it, I had a hard time re-placing it neatly inside, it just kept poking out. The cover on it does not fit well. But it doesn't matter, because I put a soft towel on top of it that Sparky likes better.

Some reviewers commented on the quality, but I'm not seeing an issue yet. It hasn't been through a Texas thunderstorm yet, so that will be the true test. My cats like sitting in it during their short outside time breaks. I like that the door is human-height. It makes it easier for getting in/out with cats. Assembling this was very very difficult. The width of the wood slats is too narrow to allow for controlled use of a drill. The wood is very hard, and the drill didn't work well. My husband ended up having to do it all by hand using a screwdriver. He has very strong upper body strength and hands, but after all of that twisting, his hands were aching. There is no way I could have done it with my average strength. The instructions are okay. Some of the parts are labeled with stickers and others with Sharpie black marker. Once you realize that, it helps. The Front/Back labels aren't clear in the instructions, so plan out your connecting pieces before you start using the screwdriver. I think this could use a coat of outdoor paint to help it last. We're also planning to put it on a platform with casters so we can roll it into the garage from the paved patio to keep it out of bad weather.

This was even better than expected! We bought it to be able to bring our 20 pound indoor cat outside with us after being so tired of him crying at the door! Arrived quicker than promised and took all of 2 minutes to set up. Easily unfolds and then you zip the bottom canvas piece on as well as the top mesh piece. Has ample room in it for our cat with all of his toys, bed, and water dish. Two easy doors made it great to get him in and out easily and the side pockets are helpful for holding treats and toys. We bring it in and out, as needed and the first time trying to fold it back up to put in its case was a little challenging but now that I have the hang of it - it is another 2 minute task. The carrying case it comes with slid under my couch so that it is always at the ready to go outside but is flat enough that no one can see it under there. We are so glad that we got it and highly recommend - especially if you are like us and have an indoor cat that you don't let out to roam. (Tip: After using it for one day, we came back to Wayfair and ordered a raised pet cot to put in the pen. Our cat likes to lay down to look out and the side panels were too high for him to be able to do this (other than at the doors). He is a big ol' lazy boy and we succumb to his wishes. With the addition of the raised pet cot, he is happy as can be and will lay in the pen all day with no complaints. Hope this review helped you!

I really want to write a review on this cat condo but there are technical difficulties with the site right now. Hopefully I can ammend it later. It’s absolutely beautiful and well made! A light turquoise blue, which I was pleasantly surprised with because I thought it would arrive a gray color. It will take a little while for our cat to get use to it, hopefully he does. The top lifts up, which is great because that’s how we put our cat into it at first … haha. I would love to add photos. If for some reason I can’t, it looks just like how the website describes it as. Great quality, great price! Really impressed! Great for Florida and if your cat gets caught in a rain shower on the lanai!

This is exactly what I was looking for. We rent and I wanted a discreet shelter for a couple feral kitties that we feed out front. I also didn’t want it to look too much like an animal house and it couldn’t be too large for the space. I plan to put a plant on top soon and it’ll look mostly like a decorative planter from the street. The cats haven’t gone in yet, but they’re very interested. We still need to find the perfect bedding

Its so perfect for my kittie! Its great for small to medium cats but wouldnt work well for a very large cat. It is sturdy and very well made. Simple and easy instructions to put it together. It only took us about 30 minutes and fyi to those looking to buy the wall with the door flaps can go on either the left or the right side which made it nice for where I put it. My cat loves this house! This item is even better than the pictures and description. Fast shipping and a great product! I am already recommending this cat house to others!

This catio goes together quickly and easily. We put it on our deck outside the window so we could watch them. We tried it out with all 3 of our cats, one at a time. We have one who enjoys hunting critters too much, so we were hopping we could use it more for her. She has been in it a few times, and as much as she tried, she could not get out. Our very old cat tried it out and actually loved it because she never goes outside anymore and this gave her a safe way to lay in the sun and smell the outdoors. Our 3rd cat spent about 10 seconds in it and wasn't too happy. But that's fine as she isn't a problem and doesn't need to use it. We found that giving them treats/food in there and their usual bed makes them feel comfortable.

My husband and I actually designed and built a catio this summer which is attached to our house and we bought this as a secondary place for our cats to explore, planning to link the two structures via a bridge/catwalk. My husband assembled the Frankie Cat Run Playpen in about 3 hours. He mentioned it would have been faster if he had had a helper working on the project but that it was nevertheless pretty straightforward to build on his own. The structure was a little smaller than I had expected but was true to the measurements on the site. I love how it looks but will probably add some shelves or a bench so that the cats can sit comfortably within the fenced area, enjoy the sun and have a view of everything around them. The structure has some shelves but they are covered so restrict their view of their surroundings. It would have been nice if the catio had some type of flooring but this is something that could be added. I feel the locks on the structure could be more substantial but this is something I could easily change myself. The basic design is good and I know I will have fun customizing it to create a fun and stimulating environment for my cats.

Am preparing to open an in-home cat boarding facility. After researching many cat condo/cages, I decided on the Elmo Cat Home. I ordered one to "check it out" and after assembling it (took 3 of us!), I found it to be just what I need. It is solidly constructed and offers 3 levels for kitty with 2 hammocks and 2 perches. Each level has a "french-type door" for ease in cleaning and accessing litter, bowls, and cat!. Casters are included, however, I am having platforms for storage with larger casters made so I don't have to bend down to floor level to get to the litter box. The condo is 6 feet tall and offers plenty of room for kitty or even 2 cats in one cage. Not sure of the weight limit on the hammocks but certainly a young cat or kitten(s) would love this feature. So I'm ready to place my order for up to 14 more cages as I start my dream of an in-home cattery because I LOVE CATS! Thank you, Wayfair, for offering such a wonderful product. So far so good. Arrived promptly. Easy to assemble. Quite sturdy. Going to get some straw to line in .. and wait and see if the cat uses it! I'm sure he will when it is cold. UPDATE 2022: While there is nothing at all wrong with the cat house the fact is the cat never uses it. He will sit in the winter cold BESIDE it, near it, or wherever ... but not IN it. He went in once with some encouragement (a push) when it was new ... he stayed in for about 30 seconds and came back out. There's also several strays around, and they don't go in it either. So, while no prob with the house itself you may want to REALLY consider, given the price, whether your cat will actually ever use it. Even in the dead of winter if he doesn't want in our cat has places outside that he would rather be, including in a sheltered patio chair, under the deck amongst storage items (bbq, lawnmower, etc).
