My indoor/outdoor cat loves this house. It was easy to put together, the built-in heater works great, and it’s the perfect size for a larger cat (mine is 14 lbs). I even placed a camera inside so I can check whether he’s in there. I did make a few small modifications—specifically shortening the legs—because he was hesitant to go inside at first. My suspicion that the height was the issue turned out to be correct; the very next day, he happily went into his house. It's very well insulated as well. This is a wonderful little heated kitty house. I liked the extra thick padded insulation and heated pad. The only downfall with this cat house is that there was only one door /escape route for cats (probably due to size and construction). The little awning and flaps are good, but we taped them up as I don't think most stray cats will want to push through the strange mini car wash rubber flaps. Top opens easily for cleaning and can be propped initially for skittish kitties that might be nervous to enter into a dark space. Overall a good value and solid construction. Love this little cathouse! My husband and I built a deck to elevate the house for our two stray cats. They haven’t gone inside yet, but have been up on the deck to eat and check out the house. I have no doubt once they try it out they will love it❤️. It seems to be a fairly sturdy little house and was pretty easy to put together. This is a true sanctuary for feral cats backed by research and designed for the real essential survival needs of the Outdoor feral cat. The exterior is made of fir wood suitable for outdoor use. Very easy to assemble, one person can assemble it in half an hour.

My feral cat had kittens in this box about 4 months ago and has been sleeping in it at night ever since. She goes underneath to lay in the shade, and also sits on top of the house to get a view. It’s cute watching her teach her kitten how to use it. Whole thing is insulated in the interior and made of wood. The wood will start to split in the weather which hasn’t affected it structurally so far, but if you’re handy it would make sense to cover the exterior with a coat of poly.
