But the roof is easy to remove if I know strong winds are coming. I think it's plenty sturdy, it should last years compared to the cat tents we've gone through. I had the wood split three times when I was trying to attach the wheels and as you see in a couple of the pictures you can see a back panel that was pre-assembled had a screw put in at an angle and it broke through the wood and now I have a sharp screw sticking through.. We bought this Cat Enclosure because we can not let our cats roam around outside where we live. It took a while to get this cat enclosure assembled but the directions were pretty clear and almost all the parts were labeled. The parts that were not labeled were pretty easy to figure out what they were. There were many different sizes of bolts and screws but all the bolts used the same locking nuts. The assembly job would have been a lot easier if two people were to do it and I would definitely recommend doing the assembly with two people. Well see how they like being in it. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great!
