My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. I bought this to hide my cat’s litter box, as well as to get my guinea pig’s cage off of the floor. It works perfectly for both purposes. I placed a rechargeable, motion activated light inside for my cat. He loves it. It is sturdy and was easy to put together. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! This cat mansion is a royal feline's fairytale ending. It has 2 floors, 2 entrances and 2 windows. I bought it for some stray cats in my neighborhood and they love their new address. This cat house has less quality wood and also had a weird smell to it when opening the box. A lot of areas were chipped and unpainted. Holes not pre drilled, but was fairly easy to put together. It is outside for the stray cats, although I don’t know if they have used it. Very nice. It is in a space with a few feet of space around it before it is surrounded on three sides by a fence and the fourth side is an AC unit. Has made it through hard rains with the interior staying dry.
