This is a very nice cat shelter for the feral cat that has moved into my yard . Very simple to assemble, sturdy and looks like it will hold up in the Midwest weather. The roof is hinged and the floor is removable. To insure that the floor is not pushed up by a predator, I added two bricks inside the shelter. Love this little cathouse! My husband and I built a deck to elevate the house for our two stray cats. They haven’t gone inside yet, but have been up on the deck to eat and check out the house. For the most part I was happy with my purchase. It was very easy to put together, but the quality was not as good as I was hoping for for the amount of money I spent on it. I had the wood split three times when I was trying to attach the wheels and as you see in a couple of the pictures you can see a back panel that was pre-assembled had a screw put in at an angle and it broke through the wood and now I have a sharp screw sticking through.. Should be a nice catio, weather resistant, and is pretty sturdy…so far. We have the shell up, but putting it together was absolutely terrible. Horrible. The directions also got ruined in a storm, and I tried reaching out to wayfair for a replacement copy or digital copy, and they were not helpful. Tough review to write. It was a lot of work to assemble. Many hours. I had to buy extra chicken wire and zip ties. But I think it's great. In the yard, I could have staked it, but on the deck, I'm using landscape bricks at the four corners - my patio table with an umbrella has blown away in high winds. But the roof is easy to remove if I know strong winds are coming. I think it's plenty sturdy, it should last years compared to the cat tents we've gone through.
