This door beautifully serves the need I had to separate a den from the dining room to provide overnight guests more privacy. It has a nice finish and is solid enough to provide a bit of sound deadening between the two rooms. My installer did note the lack of a dado cut in the door for the track, so he didn’t notice that a particular end should have been “up” - so I think he mounted it upside down (the door’s cross panel is about 5” deep on one end and 7” on the other). Not a big enough deal visually for me to have the door re-mounted, but an indicator for which end was intended to be the top of the door would have been nice. The door doesn’t come with handles but I was able to find finger flush-mount and loop handles that worked beautifully. The door is made solid enough to screw handles into it.. Caryn. Seattle, WA. I'm obsessed with my new doors! Exactly as pictured. I love the texture and quality. You do have to assemble the doors, but it was easy with clear instructions. The only issues I had was with mounting the railing. My studs weren't 16 inches apart to meet up with the pre-drilled holes. These doors are heavy so you have to make sure you put the bolts in studs. I thought about a header board but that would've made a larger gap between the door and the wall. So I drilled new holes in the railing to place the bolts in studs (which wasn't as easy as I expected). The gap between the door and wall is about 3/4in without a header. Nice, it’s MDF so it’s obviously not meant to hold a lot of weight, but it looks nice, and seems like it will work nicely for light clothing, I put light t-shirts and leggings, and other smalllight clothing. I wouldn’t recommend for heavier clothing like jeans or similar, but also you probably wouldn’t be able to fit very many. The shelves hold more than the drawers.
