I am giving this five stars because everything came intact. I could see once I get it up it will be exactly what I wanted. However, I was not thinking when I ordered it that my thermostat would be in the way. The reason why I do not have a picture of it fully up yet is because now I have to figure out how to bring it out at least by 2 inches so when the door slides back it will not interfere with the thermostat. I will update my review as soon as I can figure out I'm thinking about getting a 2x4 board to go across my wall and then I think I could attach everything else. I'm not saying that you have to be an engineer to assemble and hang this...but it helps. As other reviewers have mentioned, this door comes primed, not painted, and we were prepared for that. It's also hollow, but that's in the title. No worries. We were also prepared to add a 1x4 above the existing doorframe - and unless you have perfectly 16" spaced studs around your door, you're going to need to do this, too. Just attach the board to the studs, and the slider bar hardware to the board. BIG annoyances: 1) the instructions explicitly say to hang slider bar 85-11/16" above the floor, and that was a full half inch too low, so we had to remove the bar, drill holes above the ones we'd just drilled, and re-hang. 2) Whywhywhy does the slider bar come in 2 halves? A full 71" bar would still be shorter than the door, so it's just silly. What a pain. Still, with some finessing, we got the 2 pieces assembled and hung level. 3) There are NOT pre-drilled holes for the door handle. Not a huge deal if you have a 10mm drill bit, but come on. At least correct the instructions. Definitely a bigger pain to install than expected and it needed to be, but it looks good, slides easily, and feels pretty sturdy now that we're finished.. Samantha. It took a week or so to arrive, as expected. Hardware was good quality and relatively easy to hang. What else can I say It’s a door exactly as described. Unfortunately, that door was almost completely cracked in half horizontally. The next replacement, pictured, had the same issue but not as severe. And they are now out of stock so I have to look elsewhere. I am giving 5 stars because I can’t blame the manufacturerseller for whatever may have happened along the way on delivery. It turned out beautiful. It wasn’t too bad putting it together, just take your time and the finished product will last a lifetime. The knotty alder wood is beautiful. I installed it between our master bedroom and bathroom, there was an archway without a door. So while my wife was away visiting family for a couple of weeks I ordered it and built and installed it before she got home. The bottom of the door had a pre-cut groove to fit with the floor guide that prevents the door from swinging back and forth.

The Paneled Manufactured Wood Primed Barn Door Without Installation Hardware Kit is produced using MDF medium-density fiberboard. The 2 Panel MDF barn door has the design router carved on both the front and back of the door. All hardware including sliding track and handles are sold separately. The door is primed with an in-house white primer.

The doors were very heavy, and they were not squared. I was disappointed because of the price I had to pay for each door. One side was longer, therefore, if you look at the top, they are not leveled while the bottom was. Before you put them up, check to see that they are the same length on both sides. Nice Door, it comes already assembled, unlike some of the other barn doors I have purchased. The sides were a little rough but a little bit of sanding with the palm sander and its just fine. Ok, it took almost 3 months for us to get this precious door delivered. And took some precise measurements and planning to put everything together! We opted out the head board, instead we drill holes on the track to line up with the studs and use the recommended spacers to bring the door forward to avoid the trim, and it looks fantastic!
