We are enjoying our bookcase. The light color fits in just fine with the other colors of bookcases. It was pretty easy to put together. I got two of these and they are perfect. My father made some kind of extended anti-tipping wall anchors since I wanted the shelves on a wall with a baseboard heater so they were a bit far from the wall for the anchors they come with. I included photos. Please ignore my empty photo frames. I needed to stage the shelves so I'll know exactly how it all fits. The shelves are a beautiful color and exactly what I was looking for. This is a very sturdy, solid bookcase and fits perfectly in the small entryway to our coastal bedroom. Well, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm very disappointed in the woodgrain "look", and the fact that some of it was peeling off the particle board as I was trying to put it together. Also, the directions are extremely poor! They don't show front/back, or any of that. IT was very confusing and difficult to put together. It has "a b c d e f g", et cetera on all of the pieces listed in the catalog, but the only things that were marked on the items to put together was a and b. Very disappointing! the bookcase is great. the color is slightly off from the pictures but i expected that based on reviews and it matches my other furniture as a result. maybe have more ergonomic philips head screwdriver ready because the one it comes with hurt my palm quite a bit. only complaint is the mechanism to keep the bookshelf from tilting was confusing. im just going to get a different earthquake strap.. I am very happy with the look and quality at this price point. I was struggling to find something to for my narrow space in this room. They do feel more expensive than the other similar items in this price range. A few things to note, I don’t love the slight seam to the backing but it’s is hardly noticeable when decorated. Another thing to note is there are stickers to cover the screws etc. not my favorite but at this price point it’s not bad, and at least you don’t look at the screws like some other affordable pieces.
