Just two negatives - I wish I could remove the nubs (that join the units together) on the top unit, and the company sticker on the unit was a bear to get off - I don’t know why companies put them on the unit like that! This shelf set is what I expected for the price. The pine is a 2 grade, has been stained, but not top coated. The wood is sturdy enough, kiln dried, and reasonably well stained. I applied several coats of polyurethane to it and it looks excellent. As the wood ages even the color tones will even out. For the price this has been an excellent value and easy to work with. For the price I did not expect AAA wood. But, considering the cost of such items, this was solid by comparison and with a little work looks like a high grade item. I would absolutely recommend this. I used three coats of hand applied satin polyurethane and the finished effect was something you typically see only in upgraded or premium priced items. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. It's made from solid pine wood with three support legs that fit snugly against the wall. This bookcase has five rounded shelves that get smaller with each higher tier. With 12.5" between each shelf, only the top shelf í 10.5", there's plenty of room to place books, picture frames, succulents, and other accent pieces on them. A wall anchor is also included to keep your bookcase upright. Full assembly is required.

Ordered three Moeller Etagere bookcases, when this one was out of stock. Needed one more and got my preferred bookcase for my bedroom. Now I'm glad I bought the Moellers as they are wider and matching the warm brown color of my wood floors. The color of this Troy Etagere is much darker brown than shown online. By chance it goes well with the bedroom armoire, phew. Otherwise a beautiful bookcase, specially the super easy "no assembly - just unfold" part.
