Time: 30 min with 2 people Tools needed: alan wrench which is provided People needed: ideally two, but one person could probably make it work Assembly Notes: - Make sure you put the shelves in before fully tightening the bolts on the frame - Make sure you use the shorter bolts for the brace (this is not established in the instructions). Pros: - sturdy - super easy assembly - looks great (other than the issue with the edges) - depth and height of shelves is great for larger collectibles/display items Cons: - instructions are rather bad, but it's an easy assembly so it's not too hard to figure out what to do - there's a gap between the wood veneer on the top/bottom and the wood veneer on the sides, so the edges of the shelves look rough, which isn't the nicest. Overall, I like my bookcase and after assembling it, it looks just like the picture. The instructions are made up of pictures and have few words that are written in broken-English, but are easy enough to understand once you realize they show you how to put together other, similar bookcases that are also made by this company. What I didn’t realize is that the bookcase is made up of four identical units that are stacked on top of each other. The nice part is that the placement of the shelves and units can be altered. So if you decide later on that you want to have the shelves slid over to create room for a taller object, or if you want to have two separate bookcases, you can easily do that. The only down side is once I stacked the top two units, I realized they weren’t exactly square with each other and I ended up using felt pads to make them look more level.. Heather. Livermore, CA. The shelves are well made and very strong. The bookcase is tall enough and wide enough to display large things. It's exactly what I needed to display my arts and crafts. It is a lot easier to put together if you have two people. Also, the shelves are easier to put in if you don't tighten the screws until all the shelves are in place.. David. La Crescenta, CA. Good quality bookshelf. The only issue is that the back piece has holes but there are no holes on the actual bookcase for the screws to screw into so I can’t put the backing on. Everything else matched up perfectly!. Anthony. Maryland. Sun May 07 2023

Great looking bookcase. The wood shelves were heavy and felt substantial. As another reviewer mentioned, this is not a true black and has a distressed finish which goes well with my other dark stained furniture. I like that the back of the shelves have a lip so that books don’t slide out the back. Putting it together wasn’t too bad, I was able to it by myself without help. The holes in the shelves lined up perfectly with the metal rack. Even comes with an anti-tip restraint. Happy with this purchase.. Map. Cambridge, MA. Mon Sep 28 2020

Love this! It fit the space beautifully. Lots of storage space. Great value! Relatively easy for my son to put together despite relatively vague instructions. You need a very large space to assemble it as you need to slide the shelves in. Another useful tip is to not fully tighten the screws on the bracing bars until all of them are attached. The two of us were able to pull it upright. We added sliding pads to the bottom to easily move it into place on the hardwood floors. Finished it just in time to decorate for Christmas.. Patricia. Four exposed black metal sled legs wrap around engineered wood shelves that come in a rich walnut hue. Four shelf tiers, with two shorter shelves on the taller right-hand side, showcase wood grain color variation for a rustic look. Reaching 56.69" tall on the right with the lower shelves stretching 70.86'' wide, you have ample space to display books, photos, and accent pieces in your home office or living room. A wall anchor is included for added safety, as is mounting hardware for easier installation.
