Great for the price. I knocked it down a star because it came with some small scratches and the durability is a little questionable. Also, the instructions are just a picture book so there were a few steps that I was a little confused on. That slowed down the building process slightly, but I also was not in a rush, so that’s no biggy to me. The parts were all labeled so that was nice. Two people could easily get this done in an hour or less. Aside from those small issues, it is a beautiful bookcase. The color is perfect. It is bigger than I expected. The cabinet part is spacious and the doors open and close like they should. One of the doors was stuck after assembly but I just shoved it open and now it’s fine. The included wall anchors keep it sturdy and in place. I don’t like how you can see them from a distance but I’ll probably put some plants up there to hide it. Even though the panels feel a bit cheap, the shelves are decently thick. The legs are pretty good quality as well. I couldn’t be happier with these bookcases. They look beautiful, feel sturdy once assembled, and offer a surprising amount of storage. The combination of open shelving, drawers, and cabinet space makes them both functional and attractive. Assembly is definitely a two-person job and is a bit involved. Our first bookcase took about four hours to assemble, but by the time we built the second one, we’d learned the process and finished it in under three hours. One tip for future buyers the instructions have you attach the hinges to the cabinet doors first and then install them after the cabinet is fully assembled. We found it much easier to attach the hinge hardware to the cabinet frame before installing the top panel, then attach the doors as the final step. It’s still a little fiddly, but it’s much easier than trying to work in a cramped space with tiny screws. Overall, these bookcases exceeded my expectations.
