I am so happy with my Celine Bookcase purchase in Walnut! I knew that I needed to shop on wayfair so that I could filter down all items to my exact needs. And Celine delivered. Firstly, it was packaged so well. An overwhelming box but packed so securely that there was no damage. Assembly was easy and the drawer base was put together already. So the vertical rails and the shelves were the primary focus. Everything lined up perfectly and was easy to tighten etc. I love the walnut finish. It is true to the pictures online and coordinates beautifully with my furniture. There are less expensive options but I would imagine they would appear that way too. Not Celine, she has a rich finish and just looks like a quality piece of furniture. I thought I would try to add lighting, but after living with it for a couple of weeks it just is not necessary. I have a naturally bright space and the items I have placed on the shelves show beautifully. I recently downsized and really wanted this piece to have somewhere to put some of my sentimental items without overwhelming my combined living and dining space. This was the perfect solution. My only criticism is of the area pictured of the joinery that did not take the stain uniformly. It is on an exposed vertical rail, but not noticeable in my specific placement. Had to remove pieces from box one at a time to bring inside - have pieces laid out but not assembled yet. Wood is very solid - quite beautiful acacia - varied grain but warm and I freaking love it. Asssmbly looks daunting but not cause of complex design. Not at all. It's the weight - we are going to give it a whirly whirl after we set a wide floor space for the deed. I ordered this because I needed a nice substantial (tall) piece for my library. The quality is very good; it's super solidly made. I will say though that upon opening it, the smell was completely overwhelming. I was not sure why it smelled so strongly of something I might equate to like fresh asphalt maybe, but it did. I was worried that it might not dissipate and if it didn't I would have to return it. It has been in my garage for about 3 weeks though (it's for a new house we are moving into in a couple months. And I have been leaving the garage door open a few feet several days a week to give it plenty of air, and I'm happy to report that that smell is maybe 10% of what it originally was. The Boudreau bookcase is gorgeous and better quality than I expected. The delivery team of Ricardo Felipe were first class. They texted the morning of the delivery then called when 30 minutes away.
