Here’s a more polished version of your review that keeps your experience, but makes it clearer and more natural for other buyers ⸻ We purchased the TOTO Drake 1.6 GPF elongated two-piece toilet from TOTO through Wayfair and got a great deal. Overall, we’re very happy with the upgrade. It is noticeably easier to clean compared to lower-end toilets, and it flushes efficiently—usually just one flush is enough. It also runs much quieter, which we really appreciate. We’ve also noticed that stains don’t build up as easily in the bowl compared to cheaper models. The design is sleek and the height is more comfortable, especially for adults or taller users. We paired it with a bidet seat, which makes it even better. Shipping and packaging were excellent. Everything arrived well-protected, with no cracks or damage. It did come in multiple boxes and the pieces are quite heavy, so it helps to be organized when unpacking. Customer service from both Wayfair and the manufacturer has been responsive and helpful when we had questions. Although it costs more upfront, we feel it’s worth it in the long run. We expect it to last many years (at least a decade), and it also helps reduce water usage since one flush is usually enough. We’ve also cut down on toilet bowl cleaner because it stays cleaner longer. Overall, it feels like a high-quality, durable, and worthwhile investment.. Tina. Utah. Wed Jun 10 2026

Contemporary and Compact Design. Although designed for small spaces, this toilet looks perfect in any modern bathroom. The seat lid closes silently. The feature is ideal for water efficiency.

This compact and practical toilet is perfect for small spaces, offering functionality and quality without compromising on space. I chose the goldbrass accents, but only the dual water push button features them. The toilet seat connectors, however, are stainless steel. I’m not sure if I was shortchanged on the goldbrass accents or if they’re simply not available in that finish.. Joanna. Chicago, IL. Sun Sep 13 2026

Upgrade your bathroom with our elongated two-piece toilet, expertly engineered to combine daily comfort with reliable flushing power. The 17” ADA-compliant comfort height reduces strain on knees and back, while the elongated bowl provides ample seating space. Behind its sleek profile lies a powerful siphonic flush system that clears the bowl thoroughly with just 1.28 gallons (4.8L) per use—delivering strength without waste.

Wax Ring Was Terrible The included wax ring was low quality — it crumbled and failed to form a proper seal. I had to replace it with a better aftermarket wax ring to stop slow leaks and reduce odors. This added time and cost to the install that shouldn’t be necessary. Buy a high-quality wax ring with a rubber gasket or flange before installation — it’s almost essential with this toilet. One major let-down was the toilet seat lid It’s made of thin plastic that doesn’t feel sturdy. It flexes too much and doesn’t give a sense of durability. Compared to higher-end soft-close seats, this feels like the weakest part of the whole toilet. Side Screw Covers Do Not Fit This was one of the most frustrating parts The side covers that are supposed to hide the mounting screws do not fit. They won’t snap on or screw on properly. As a result, the mounting screws are fully visible, which ruins the clean, finished look the toilet is supposed to have This feels like a design or manufacturing defect, not user error.. Kim. Carlyle II features TOTO’s TORNADO FLUSH®, a hole-free rim design with dual nozzles that creates a centrifugal washing action that assists in rinsing the bowl more efficiently. This feature, coupled with TORNADO FLUSH®, assists in reducing the frequency of toilet cleanings, minimizing the usage of water, harsh chemicals, and time required for cleaning. An additional benefit of the one-piece toilet is that there is no threat of leaks from bolts or gaskets that can occur in two-piece toilets. Skirted Design toilets also eliminate the need to reach behind the bowl to clean the nooks and crannies of the exterior trap way. This version of the Carlyle II offers TOTO T40 WASHLET®+ compatibility for when you are ready to upgrade. WASHLET®+ toilets feature a channel on the bowl surface to help conceal your WASHLET®+ supply line and power cord for seamless integration. I can't believe how quickly this toilet goes through a cycle of pushing the flush lever and when the water valve stops filling. It takes just over 30 seconds for the cycle. It does a great job clearing the bowl. I have read comments from some people who have complained about how it seems to get dirty too easily. I've been using the toilet for a week so I can't say if it gets dirty easily. But I wonder if they had read the cleaning instructions. Toto said not to use cleaners with acid, bleach or polishing agents in it. Use only a plastic bristled brush. Don't use metal scrub brushes.. Gordon. Stockton. Sun Nov 23 2025

The toilet is not exactly what i thought i was getting, it’s not as a white, and i thought the handle to flush was suppose to be white too, not silver, and don’t seem to come with all the parts to connect it to the wall, will have to buy additional parts, also i thought it was higher than it really is, and not sure if it’s elongated, looks round instead. now however, i had the toilet since November of 24, n my house where it was delivered , still in the boxes, i only opened it to see what it looks like, but then came the Eaton Canyon Fire on January 7th, 2025 that destroyed my home totally and burned the New brand toilet along with the “ Over the Toilet Storage” i bought both at the same time, i called Wayfair, and they would not replace it, i went ahead and paid it off because i did not want to ruin my credit. Wayfair did not help me. Anonymous. US. Tue May 27 2025
