These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. These added elegance to the bedroom. We have wood blinds on the 2 windows and wanted something nice to filter the light and soften things up. These do the trick! This single blackout curtain panel offers light blocking, thermal efficiency, and noise reduction to lend extra privacy to your living room or bedroom. Some commenters complain that the curtains arrive with wrinkles that don't iron out. True, they come out of the box wrinkled, but washing them in a front loader on "warm" and tumble drying on "low" removed the bigger creases. A steam iron removed most of the smaller wrinkles. A few days of hanging on the curtain rod was enough to relax the rest. I assume that the light blocking weave has something to do with the stubborn wrinkles.
