These curtains are a nice medium-weight material—thick enough to feel substantial without being overly heavy. The fabric is somewhat stiff and arrived with a lot of creases, so they will definitely need a thorough steaming and possibly more than one pass to get them hanging exactly right. Installation was very easy, and I appreciated that they came with both the curtain hooks and rings, giving you different options for hanging them. Even before steaming, they hang beautifully and look great in the room. Overall, I’m very happy with them and would give them four out of five stars. Some commenters complain that the curtains arrive with wrinkles that don't iron out. True, they come out of the box wrinkled, but washing them in a front loader on "warm" and tumble drying on "low" removed the bigger creases. A steam iron removed most of the smaller wrinkles. A few days of hanging on the curtain rod was enough to relax the rest. I assume that the light blocking weave has something to do with the stubborn wrinkles. The valance and curtains were what I ordered but I didn't anticipate the whit panel to be quite as thein as it is. It is almost a shear and I expected it to be more of a dense lining type of fabric.
