These curtains are lovely. There is a sheen to the curtains and they are more sheer than semi-sheer, at least the white curtains are, which is what I wanted. For my patio door, I used four panels, which actually hides the sheerness of the curtains, but still allows plenty of light through. I only have 2 panels on the family room window, but I plan on buying another set, as I like the fuller look. Then 1 panel for each living room window. I buy a new set of these every other year. It always maintains the same coloring definitely helps block the sun. I am putting little hooks on the concrete step to go down so I can attach it and keep it from swaying in the wind. It has very good hefty, but still the wind will catch it.
