Absolutely Fantastic ! I was searching for an awning that would fully cover a door. This one was an Excellent choice. I was not able to install immediately but when we did, we took it out of the packaging, laid it all out (to make sure everything was there) did a pre-assembly before doing the measurement's to make sure it would fit/work. Took 2 Days if you follow the instructions. Day 1 drill holes and set anchors with industrial caulking, let dry. Day 2 Installation. Definitely a Two person job because the Steel wall brackets are heavy. The final look once installed is Stunning. I would Highly Recommend this product to friends (as we already have). I even contacted the manufacturer to ask questions, they responded within a day, which gave me confidence to make the purchase. Here are Photo's of the installation.

Rain Can't Touch This Awning

While browsing, the product photos seemed honest, so I took the risk. It arrived, matching my moderate expectations. Installation was smoother than I had braced myself for. I was looking for something functional yet unobtrusive for my front door. This canopy met that low-key criterion. Assembly was straightforward, but I had to double-check a step or two. Seeing my neighbor's setup, I decided to give it a try. The delivery was on schedule, and the assembly didn't require a PhD. It serves its intended purpose. From browsing to installation, the journey was average but efficient. The materials were exactly as mundane as described, and now it adds a touch of utility to my porch. The quality of the awning is good. All the brackets are metal which makes it very sturdy. The top is plastic and a little thin. Installation instructions is easy to follow. The plastic cover is clear and let's a lot of sunlight through which I didn't want. I used 2x spray paint with primer to paint underneath to block sunlight. My biggest complaint is they only provide concrete screws which doesn't work on wood construction. I had to go buy different screws to complete the install and glue the plastic covers over the screw head.

The steel supports are high quality. Installation was straightforward. One person with any DIY skills can install a single awning. If I were to install the four, again, I would get assistance. Functionally, the Aquila solved a rainwater runoff problem. Since rain gutters were insufficient, the Aquila awnings serve to guide the water off the roof and beyond the windows below. The clear smoke tint provides some protection from the sun, while maintaining our view from inside. Aesthetically, the Aquila system matches the look of our contemporary-modern house. The color match is perfect. The look of the installed awnings is fabulous. We are extremely happy with our purchase.

Great looking and very functional. Excellent quality.

I ordered this awning to replace an ugly aluminum one that was on our house when we bought it. WOW - what an improvement! First of all Wayfair.com offered the best price I found, and free shipping. I was surprised and delighted to receive my package just two days after I ordered it!! It arrived in perfect condition, and the installation was relatively uncomplicated. (It took more time to remove the old one than to install the new one.) I'm delighted - and have ordered a new outdoor sconce (from Wayfair, of course!) to complement my new awning. I'll send a picture after it arrives. Pros: Good quality, good design, and good function. It's a winner! Cons: None. I'm delighted with it.

I haven't assembled this awning yet. It arrived yesterday with the box completely opened on one end and some of the parts are missing. Wayfair customer service was great and working on replacing the missing parts. The metal frame is heavier metal, like wrought iron. Overall I think the product is well made. I'm just disappointed in the delivery. Definitely would recommend this product.

We put this up ourselves but finding studs on a vinyl back portion of your home can be a challenge so we goofed and put the brace in the wrong spot of the awning bracket (bar). So now it doesn't close completely on one side. So understanding that the brackets attach to the far ends of the awning bar will help when you are looking to secure it to your surface. Other than that I think it looks great and it was an easy process to put together. This size does not shade as much as I thought it would so really measure the location you want to place it in. Both length and how far the out it will extend.

This was a great purchase! It hangs over enough that we do not get wet when it rains. Sunlight still comes through great. Only took my husband 2 hours to install with a little help from myself. Note if you have siding you have to make it more secure. We cut out pieces of siding and put weather treated boards in the studs and painted to help blend in. 4 stars as I wish it sloped a little more, and instructions are only pictures. Lots of leaves building up on it so I clean it off often. We are in Utah, so waiting to see how it holds up for winter, but I am confident it will hold up great against the snow! Will try to update that later. Update: we have now survived a winter in Utah. It has held up great in the snow. Sometimes it built up and sat there, but usually slid off or melted pretty quick. I think it was a good long term investment. Will probably buy it again for outside my back deck there in the picture, as there is not overhead covering there either.

It took me 2 days to install the 3 panel Awning. It seems sturdy and looks pretty, but I don't know how long it will last. I am more worry about the panels, because they are too filmy. Please see pictures of the installed patio door cover. If you think 2 times before you do the installation, it isn't difficult to install in any situations. My experience is as the follows. 1. Assemble the awning completely on a flat ground surface. Don't worry the assembly will fall apart, if you follow the steps below. First, make the 1st panel. Connect 2 Poly carbonate boards together with the provided clear connector. Then attach the panel to the brackets. I bought some screws similar to the longer screws supplied and used them for the sides and fronts of the brackets to secure the panels with the brackets. I drilled a very small hole in the front fixing bars through the holes on the front end of the brackets. Don't use the smaller screws provided. Also I used Clear Silicone for each slots of the brackets as long as there is a connect with the panels, don't use too much silicone. Next do the second panel, apply silicone, insert it into the brackets and screw them if you can. Next, do the third panel..... Finally, after finishing the assembly, apply some silicone into the gaps between brackets and panels on the outside (facing the sun) of the awning. 2. Make the holes on the wall where you will install the awning. Measure the distance between the 2 bracket holes and mark the hole locations on the wall. I used a level and string to make the holes align with each other and drilled the holes. The distance btw holes is about 38" to 38 1/4". If you have wood walls, use the lag bolts ( 3/8" x 3"). If you have brick wall, use the anchors supplied. 3. Attach the awning on the wall. Have 2 additional people to help you lift the awning and attach it onto the wall. First, I inserted one anchor into the top hole of the 1st bracket. Then in my case, screwed one lag bolt into the ledger board through the top hole of the 2nd bracket. Next, screwed one lag bolt through the 3 bracket. Finally, installed one anchor through the top hole of the last bracket. Again, repeated the procedure above to install the lower anchors and lag bolts. Please note, don't tighten the anchors and bolts in the first round. After install all the anchors and bolts, tighten them completely. 4. Seal all the screw holes on the brackets with Silicone to prevent corrosion and attach the caps of bolts provided. There are some tricks. First, the provided instruction is nothing but for simple reference, basically useless. Second, spray some water into the clear connectors before you insert the Poly-carbonate boards. This will make the work easier. Third, most importantly, have the silicone dry overnight, this will improve the strength of the panel connection largely. Also, silicone with UV protection will prevent possible leaking. Third, when using provide anchors, don't disassemble them and insert the anchors with bolts into the holes on the wall. Also, The depth of holes drilled on the wall can be shorter than the anchors considering the thickness of the bracket wall, especially the top holes. lastly, use extra screws to secure the panels with the brackets.

I like the awning. It was not easy to install as it required assembly, so it took 1 person a few hours to install. It would have been done sooner with 2 people. My installation cost me more than I paid for the awning. Also the instructions said this awning was for a concrete installation. My porch trim is stucco over wood. However it does hold it. I do like it very much.

The price is cheap and the quality is cheap. Once assembled all the pieces seem more sturdy than their individual parts.. It went together easily with two people. Very light weight corrugated plastic for the canopy. 95 is plastic. We will see if it holds up to a few inches of snow this winter. Will definitely offer some shade this summer. We had to buy lag screws to go into plank siding. The ones that came with it seem to be for concretemasonry. We also bought composite shims. If it holds up for 5 years, Ill be pleased. Time will tell.

We love our two awnings. They look good from the street uptown. However, to make them even more sturdy before the wall installation we added silicone along the underside of the bracket of the clear corrugated cover. We let the clear silicone fully dry overnight. Then we added our own heavy-duty wall bolts because we found the bolts included too small and flimsy. One of our awnings is facing the Northside and we needed that extra security. Also, for extra sturdiness, we created a wood backing (behind the bracket) that touches the wall. And we painted the bracket black to match the awning decorative trims. We just completed our first winter with them with no issues! They keep the rain and snow away from our doorway. We are very satisfied with our purchase. Note it takes a bit of patience to properly assemble them and don't forget to add the little screws in the front through the aluminum front rod for extra security. Personally, I think you do need to add the silicone, the heavy-duty brackets, and screws for security and if you want your purchase to last for years.

Like the concept of this awning. Looks good and is easy to install outside of the fact that they don't say that all three braces aren't the same as far as screw hole. Be carefull of this as you might have to take it apart and do it again as far as where the braces go. The center section is not secure with it's self on how it's connected to the panels. It can fall apart super easy while I was putting it together. The center section should have a way to look it with the panels. There isn't. I'll check back when it's installed. Installing is a 2 person job. I wanted to do an update. The biggest issue with this was the center section holding both panels together not good. Even though every connection was screwed in properly and tight I couldn't even move it, it would pop out of the center piece. I don't know if I had a defective one but that was an issue. I used small bolts and nuts on the middle section and out frames as well. Now I could twist it around in the circle if I wanted to and it didn't fall apart again. Keep in mind I was installing it by myself. I needed it to not fall apart. After working out all the bugs here it is. I think it looks awesome.

I love this look! I have been wanting an awning similar to this for several years but they were a lot more money. This one is a great value for the $$. The awning lets light into my dining room and you can still enjoy the view of the trees in my yard. Definitely takes two people to put it together and mount it, we attached it to the brick wall of my wall and it looks beautiful! Thank you!

My damaged awning needed to be replaced and I wanted to replace it with something more modernistic. After an exhaustive search, I chose this Advaning polycarbonate clear-top awning for many reasons: 1) I liked that it can hold up to 550-lbs of snow, since we get a lot of snow here. 2) The clear top is awesome because when the floodlight is on at night, I can clearly see the lock to unlock my door (versus my old awning that had a solid top, thus blocking all the light) 3) The aesthetics is amazing - looks 1,000 times better than my old one (see picture of old and new awning side-by-side below), 4) The curved lip at the end is super handy because it forces rain to either side. My old awning went straight down, meaning I had to walk through a waterfall every time it rained. 5) decorative lag bolt covers were included to give it that finishing touch. I'm super happy with this awning!

The fabric is good quality, as is the frame and mechanism for adjusting the awning. It's odd that the screws are terrible (super soft and light weight metal). The screw heads would have stripped out during installation, so we threw them away and used some we had on hand. Screws are inexpensive to buy; do NOT use the ones provided. You will be frustrated having to drill them out. Be aware that installation is a little tricky if your windows are high off the ground (you might want a second ladder and a second person).
