I'm really frustrated by this item. In doing research before ordering, the company website seemed to indicate that this item has the same saute/sear capability as the oval version from the same company. It does not. The max temp this cooker can be used at is 214 degrees. It has a few different functions, slow cook, steam, pasta etc. but I was really interested in the searing prior to slow cooking or braising. Very disappointed it's not included in this version and it's not clearly indicated that it's different from the oval version. Considering the similarities in price, I would have rather had the oval model. This cooker is pretty to look at but the 4.5 quart round pot feels a little small compared to my normal slow cooker. Also when cooking, the machine makes a lot of clicking and popping noises. Not a big deal initially, but when you're cooking something for 8 hours on slow cooker mode it becomes really annoying to hear every few minutes. Definitely recommend doing more research on the different models and functions before ordering so you won't be disappointed like I am.. Danielle. Richmond, VA. Tue Oct 13 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Hamilton Beach Party Dipper Food Warmer twin pack to heat some spinach and artichoke dip. It was easy to just plug it in and let it start warming. We used it at home on a random day, but it would be great for parties! The size is compact, but holds a good amount (20 ounces). It is very easy to clean as well, as the removable crock and the lid can go in the dishwasher. As the name implies, you get two in this twin pack, a nice plain pink and a pretty floral design. They look great and get the job done. We will definitely use these at family functions and parties!. Linneal. Tue Apr 21 2026

When I tried to use it, it emitted a chemically plastic-melting smell. I double checked that all packaging had been removed but the smell persisted. I unplugged it and transferred my soup to a dutch oven bc I did not trust the safety of this product. I dont think I can even return it so idk what to do with it now. Do not recommend.. Amelia.
