I have had this crockpot for a while now and I do not like it at all. It has a hit spot that I thought was just my fault in some way so I have persevered and tried different recipes but everything seems to cook to fast and I am not sure I want to still use it. It has built in latches so you're able to hook the lid down with ease and carry to any event. It is perfect for a cook out or a potluck! It does a pretty good job. Things to know 1 it does smoke up the house a little. I use it under my exhaust fan. 2 do not over load the wood. To much smoke is nasty. Although the main crock pot seems a bit bulky and heavy, it did not disappoint. The beans turned out flavorful and surprisingly tender, and I enjoyed setting and forgetting it as I went about my day. The smaller party dipper was actually great for warming and maintaining the stew. I know it is primarily designed to keep foods warm, but I decided to test it for reheating as well, and it worked nicely. As a busy mom of three, I enjoy products that help make life a little simpler.
