I have had this crockpot for a while now and I do not like it at all. It has a hit spot that I thought was just my fault in some way so I have persevered and tried different recipes but everything seems to cook to fast and I am not sure I want to still use it. It does a pretty good job. Things to know 1 it does smoke up the house a little. I use it under my exhaust fan. 2 do not over load the wood. To much smoke is nasty. This was the greatest way to cook a turkey, easy, not messy, freed up the oven, self basting. With the metal rack inside where you lay the turkey on it was easy when done to pick the turkey up by the handles to the platter. Easy cleaning also. I may never use a stove oven again!
