As a household of one person, I thought I would struggle to find uses for a slow cooker this large when I mostly use a 2.5 qt. Turns out it’s perfect to make soup so I can portion out to share and stock up my freezer. Next up will be pork bbq using a big pork shoulder to cook for 10 hours before shredding. This is the first time using digital controls which are very easy to use as shown on my video. The best feature is that it automatically switches to the warm setting after the amount of hours has been completed. With just one push of a button it powers on, I set the temperature and timer and off I go. No worrying about me forgetting to turn it off or to get to house in a rush to turn it off. Slow cooker is big enough to make many meals for a lot of people at once. I like how the lid stays in place and stays tight. The party dipper food warmer included makes a great addition. In the party dipper you can have dips, warm chocolate to cover fruit, pretzels and marshmallows. However if planing to add anything please remember that this is a warmer therefore it takes about an hour for things to really get melted.
