As a household of one person, I thought I would struggle to find uses for a slow cooker this large when I mostly use a 2.5 qt. Turns out it’s perfect to make soup so I can portion out to share and stock up my freezer. Next up will be pork bbq using a big pork shoulder to cook for 10 hours before shredding. This is the first time using digital controls which are very easy to use as shown on my video. The best feature is that it automatically switches to the warm setting after the amount of hours has been completed. Love this pressure cooker! I've been using an aluminum PC for years, but recently changed to an induction cooktopand needed an induction compatible PC. It's easy to close the lid securely, to tell when pressure has been achieved, and to quick release the pressure. Yes, it's expensive, but I'll have it the rest of my life and pass it on when I die. So far I'm really enjoy the Chefspot. I've only had a chance to take it to work twice, but it's very nice to be able to just plug it in a half hour or so before I would like a hot lunch and be able to eat at my desk quickly and without a mess or a lot of fuss. I have not figured out what you're supposed to do with the handle (I just shove it down in the carrier but there's not a lot of room for it, and it would be nice to have a longer cord to plug it in (I have to put it on the floor in order to plug it in. Also, it seems better suited for soup or something that doesn't need to be cut with a knife and fork - there's not much room for maneuvering within the bowl and it only comes with a small spoon and fork (but those are super cute and really nice to have and come in their own little case). I have not tried plugging in the lunch box in the car and don't know that I will have much of a reason to in the future, but it's nice that it's an option. All in all, a really nice thing to have.. I've been cooking with Instant Pots the last several years but I wanted to check out the pinnacle of German cookware, so I invested in the Fissler. So far, it has been absolutely excellent, very good design, very intuitive and I have absolutely loved the results. Great feedback on the stews I've been able to make and I'm excited to check out other recipes with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This slow cooker is a great size for larger meals. We’re a family of four adults and this cooker can definitely accommodate. The first time I used it I cooked eight large pork chops for six hours on low temperature and they turned out juicy and tender. The buttons on the touch pad to set temperature and time are easy to press and cycle through. It took me a few tries to understand how to set the temperature and the time, but it was really easy once l figured it out. I like that it shuts off on a timer, as opposed to me having to manually shut it off. The dial and indicator lights are easy to see. The lid stays well in place for transport when secured with the wire clips on the handles. The clips can be easily removed and reattached, so they stay out of the way. I probably won't be keeping the clips on the cooker unless I need to transport it somewhere. I'm not a fan of the brushed satin chrome finish. I prefer the black enamel finish, which is easier to clean in my opinion. The pot itself cleans well. The party dipper accessory is definitely a plus. The prefect warmer for queso or artichoke and spinach dip. Overall, another great quality product from Hamilton Beach. I know I will use it often and am confident it will deliver great results..
