The set of replacement bar stools was in perfect condition! I love the chairs, but I will admit that I have to get used to the fact that they do not automatically return to their original position when you stand up! However, the first set of chairs I received were obviously returned by a previous customer; they had been partially unwrapped with hardware removed and loose in the box, and there was a large dent in the back of one of the chairs. In addition, the stain on both seats was not applied correctly and visibly damaged. Very nice looking counter stools. They seem very sturdy and are comfortable. I took a star off only because the fabric is not quite tight enough and I find I am smoothing out a little wrinkle now and then but I don't think most would find it a dealbreaker. Also, there were a couple of flaws (scratches or little gouges) in the wood on the side of one seat but they are not easily seen and I think with a little bit of sandpaper it will be gone. These bar stools are lovely. I got the extra tall and they are perfect for my 43" high counter. Easy to put together and arrived very well protected and packaged. Very comfortable and easy to clean spills. They are light weight so you have to brace the base to spin the stool to get into it, and for the extra tall you have to be careful getting out so it doesn't shoot out from under you. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a pretty solid barstool chair. I absolutely love how easy it is to assemble and the instructions are very simple. They explain exactly how to put it together and it literally only takes like 15mins to put together. I like the quality feel of the wood and the chair. The wood is solid while the leather seems tough. Seems pretty durable and like it will last a while. The chair top is on a spring swivel which is great. It allows you to easy turn from side to side. The only slight improvement I could see is making the seat a little softer. The bottom is a little harder but it might soften up a little over time.
