Very nice looking counter stools. They seem very sturdy and are comfortable. I took a star off only because the fabric is not quite tight enough and I find I am smoothing out a little wrinkle now and then but I don't think most would find it a dealbreaker. Also, there were a couple of flaws (scratches or little gouges) in the wood on the side of one seat but they are not easily seen and I think with a little bit of sandpaper it will be gone. The set of replacement bar stools was in perfect condition! I love the chairs, but I will admit that I have to get used to the fact that they do not automatically return to their original position when you stand up! However, the first set of chairs I received were obviously returned by a previous customer; they had been partially unwrapped with hardware removed and loose in the box, and there was a large dent in the back of one of the chairs. In addition, the stain on both seats was not applied correctly and visibly damaged.
