The set of replacement bar stools was in perfect condition! I love the chairs, but I will admit that I have to get used to the fact that they do not automatically return to their original position when you stand up! However, the first set of chairs I received were obviously returned by a previous customer; they had been partially unwrapped with hardware removed and loose in the box, and there was a large dent in the back of one of the chairs. In addition, the stain on both seats was not applied correctly and visibly damaged. I LOVE these counter stools! I had brought 2 from a different mfg. that were not dreadfully inexpensive but still didn’t last a year. I choose these because they were custom made to order, I could choose frame color and upholstery color as well. I chose Sun bronze with Ford Red upholstery! These were twice the price of the ones I ordered last year, but what a difference!! These are solid, completely welded at every joint and assembly was a snap! I simply had to attached the seat to the base frame with 4 supplied screws, washers and lock nuts. It took me a whopping 10 minutes a chair to unpack, remove protective wrap and assemble. These look like they are made to last! The seat is very cushioned, the back is comfortable and the foot ring is in the perfect position. Did I mention I LOVE these counter stools ❤️. Victoria. Sturdy and stylish. Have great ergonomic tilt for a comfortable sit. Even more comfortable with a pillow for longer sits. One thing we do not like - bottom where post meets seat looks janky when viewing stools from a seated couch position. We stuffed black garbage bags to close the gap and make less noticeable.
