Im 54 and my feet hang off the end of the footrest. At a sitting position to watch TV, my feet are aimed at the floor. The only time your feet are level with your hips is in the full zero gravity position. You cant use your laptop or anything else in the zero gravity position. This chair is fine. We ordered black and its more of an off black. The lift method is great for an older person. Also, the method of shipping is terrible. They ship the chair in 2 separate boxes. The 1st box came quick but the second took 4 days. Kind of pointless when you can't use the chair because you only received half the chair. As far as comfort its ok. Not much extension on the foot part of the reclining. And I'm a short person. If you are taller it definitely wont give you any foot room as my feet are over the edge and I'm 5'2.
