Rain Barrels

The 50 Gallon Terra Cotta Rainbarrel is a slightly smaller version of our 55-gallon Terra Cotta Barrels. Heavy-Duty Screening keeps mosquitoes out. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used imported food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel filling cycles. We use a PH-balanced, environmentally friendly soap when cleaning so that the water gathered can immediately be used on plants without harm. These barrels keep difficult to break down plastics from adding bulk to landfills and also contain and repurpose stormwater.

The Heritage 50 Gallon Rain Barrel represents a new evolution in decorative rainwater collection, bringing the character and detail of traditional barrel craftsmanship into a durable modern design. Its story began with an original wooden barrel handcrafted by a skilled cooper, with individual staves, natural grain, knots, cracks, hoops and rivet details carefully selected and shaped for an authentic appearance. Precision tooling then captured those distinctive surface details, allowing the finished resin barrel to preserve the character and imperfections of the handcrafted original. Designed to be as functional as it is distinctive, the Heritage stores up to 50 gallons of rainwater for gardens, planters and outdoor watering. The integrated planter top features a deep planting area for flowers and greenery, while a separate rear collection zone and molded water-routing path help direct incoming rainwater away from the planted section. A corrosion-proof screen guard helps block leaves and debris from entering stored water. A brass spigot provides convenient water access, a separate lower nozzle with shut-off valve supports drainage and hose use, and overflow outlets allow multiple barrels to be linked for additional storage. Constructed from durable, BPA-free LDPE resin, the Heritage is engineered for outdoor use and backed by a 2-year warranty.

Seems to be made of good quality except the screen on top. In less than a week outside it looks like the screws have already begun eroding. It is also concerning that it doesn’t sit flush with the top allowing bugs to get inside. Definitely not interested in a mosquito breeding ground. Other than that the esthetics of it are spot on and the spigots on the side feel nice and heavy duty.. Ashley. Texas. Thu Apr 16 2026

The most captivating feature is its appearance, which combines the rough texture of a coral reef and a large tree trunk. With a deep-well top, you can plant an array of floral arrangements or even a small herb or vegetable garden. The top also includes an original, integrated overflow channel. This channel automatically diverts all overflow water to the front of the barrel and keeps your foundation from flooding. The large opening, which can be used for 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" downspouts, is covered with a soft, fine mesh plastic screen. This screen keeps out heavy debris and insects for your peace of mind. Also included with the barrel are the two offset spigot locations. Now you can use a 5-gallon bucket or hose simultaneously without issue. Or use the second spigot as an overflow into a second barrel. Who knew you could have so many features in a rain barrel?

Constructed from durable roto molded resin, the Barcelona withstands harsh temperature changes without chipping, fading, or cracking. A recessed top directs water toward a corrosion proof screen guard to help keep leaves and debris out. Dual rear overflow ports manage excess water during heavy rainfall and allow linking to additional barrels if expanded capacity is desired. A high quality brass finish spigot provides reliable water access, and a threaded shutoff adaptor fits standard garden hoses. Inspired by classic ceramic styling, the Barcelona offers substantial storage capacity with the durability of modern resin construction. Part of the Rainwatr™ system, it functions independently and remains compatible with diverter kits and pump accessories.

Have yet to install these, but they seem to be extremely sturdy. The grate that filters the water from the downspouts looks like it might be small enough to exclude mosquitos.. Lisa. Cypress, TX. Wed Aug 12 2026

Most rain barrels on the market don't fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. This allows buckets to be filled but leaves about a quarter of the water standing behind, which can be hazardous. Barrels with optimally located spigots don't allow room for filling buckets and leave hoses as the only option for drainage. The Rain Wizard Universal Stand solves these issues by lifting and supporting the rain barrel off the ground. With the increased elevation, buckets can be easily placed below the spigot without awkward tilting or maneuvering, and the barrel can drain at a much faster rate. The Universal Stand will fit nearly every rain barrel produced by Good Ideas with a round 19 to 26 inch base (currently excludes Riverwalk, Savannah, and Amphora series). The structured core is designed to hold over 1000 pounds of water weight, and the stand is available in a wide variety of colors to conveniently match your home or barrel. This large base measures 24.75D X 28.75W X 14.75H. Please measure your barrel to ensure a proper fit.

This urn is a thing of beauty and clever design. Constructed with thick and durable polyethylene resin which holds up to the harshest elements, the exterior has the appearance of a terracotta urn. The graceful lines, curves, and garnishes on the exterior make it an accent piece on your home's exterior and not something that just sticks to your house. The flat back design optimizes the space used and allows you to position the barrel close to walls or flat areas. The top is the only of its kind that acts as a planter space and also self-drains when excess water is present. There is also a channel built into the rim which diverts overflowing water to the front and away from the barrel and home foundation. You can have peace of mind that you're conserving water and giving your garden the best water it can get, devoid of harsh chemicals and rich in nutrients. The urn comes with two brass spigots and locations: a low, central spot to maximize water pressure and usage and an upper-side location for filling buckets and linking. These spigots use a standard thread that will connect with all standard hoses. Like all made rain barrels, the polyethylene used is BPA-Free and - for contact with edibles.
