Our 55-gallon barrels are a great “Neutral” color that looks nice with green plants and trees in your garden. They hide well behind deciduous trees and bushes, and won’t clash with any color house. The 55-gallon barrels are very popular with customers who would like to paint their rain barrels. They are perfect for the sky and water of any landscape picture Heavy-duty screening keeps mosquitoes out. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used overseas food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel-filling cycles. This is the second rain barrel I have purchased of this type. The neighbors love the appearance. The faucet is small so I use a siphon to expedite watering. Unfortunately this barrel did not have a handle on the spigot so I’m waiting for a replacement.. Anonymous. Hampton, IA. Sat Jun 15 2024

The good and the bad: The GOOD - 75 gallons, is sturdy, is attractive, basic design is excellent, excellent followup customer service. The BAD - product was shipped in a plastic bag allowing the spigot to be half-way torn away, spigot is lightweight. My solution: rather than exchange it for another with no guarantee it wouldn't be damaged during shipment I replaced the spigot and threaded section with a more substantial bulkhead union and a more robust spigot. Simply cut a 2 3/8ths hole around existing section (which is weak due to how it was attached) and installed a bulkhead union and faucet. Refer to photos.. William. Trinidad, CA. Sat Sep 23 2023
