For a homeowner that has downspouts that are extended at the ground or downspouts that go directly into the ground. The automatic diverters are made from upcycled vinyl fence post covers and attach directly to our rain barrels via an attachment hose. Universal size automatic rain water diverter to fit either a 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" downspout. Barrel will fill when empty. Once barrel is full the rainwater will be diverted back to the original downspout automatically. 12" Hose is provided.

This kit includes an elongated version of EarthMindedConsumerProducts patented FlexiFit diverter that will replace the diverter included with EarthMinded rain barrels. This diverter installs to the narrow side of the downspout, and collects water from the entire inner wall surface of the downspout, for greater collection efficiency.

Ordered the brown, perhaps it is the darkest brown ever. That said, purchased the full diverter kit for 3x4 downspout from A****n to have multiple spigots, hole saws, hose and fittings. Installation is quick and easy. On the downspout, simply drill a hole with the included hole saw, then insert the rubber rain catch. The rain catch design allows the collection of water as it runs down the walls of your downspout while it filters out any leafy debris. Next, drill a hole in your rain barrel at the same level and insert the flanged rubber receiver. Finally, connect the diverter and receiver with the included flexible tubing.
