This was even better looking than I thought it would be. It looks beautiful. However, customers should know that there is no opening for a diverter hose from a downspout. And there are no instructions for setting up other than the spigots. It seems like it is designed to just sit anywhere and gather rain, which would take forever. Only thing that would make these better would be a lighter color. The opening at the top allows for more open air catchment since i dont want to catch from our older roof tops. Most rain barrels on the market don't fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. This is to allow buckets to be filled but leaves about a quarter of the water behind. And this remaining water is standing which can be hazardous. Barrels with optimally located spigots don't allow room for buckets and leave only hoses as the draining option. This 50-stand solves these issues by lifting and supporting the 50 rain barrels off the ground. With increased elevation, the barrel can drain at a much faster rate. One does have to be careful though, because it is plastic it can break if it potentially falls. However it is pretty strong and well built. It holds quite a bit actually and if you have a smaller garden this should be good. If you have a bigger one maybe 2 or 3 of these should be sufficient. Not all soaker hoses are created equal. Ours is specially made to be used in no-to-low flow applications, specifically with rain barrels. Regular soaker hoses are designed to be used with external house faucets which force water out through the porous rubber membrane. Rain barrels must rely on gravity to supply pressure which it does rather poorly. Our rain barrel soaker hose is formulated with unique rubber compounds. It is then fitted with sturdy injection molded plastic attachments to allow hook-up to all standard 3/4 inch threaded spigots. Set up is as easy as connecting the 50-foot hose to your rain barrel's spigot and running it through your garden by the base of your plants.
