Consult all local building codes to verify if the shed requires a building permit.

After a year it is still standing after 2 winters in New England. Snow slides right off no more shoveling the shed roof off. I build a 12x12 deck platform out of 2x6 for this to site on and works great. The took a day with two people. It has held together pretty well. The 1 thing I hate the most is the doors. They really need to re-engineer the doors as they are junk. They slide and move, I think I will need to rebuild this summer and make them more solid. No leads, it holds the ATV and Lawn tractor.. Lovely shed! It was just the size we were looking for. We watched several YouTube videos on how to assemble and it helped. It was a bear to put together, things didn't line up always and so we had to bang them into place. As for it being water tight, fingers crossed, only time will tell. We built it on a raised lumber platform on top of cement pavers.. Elizabeth. Placentia, CA. Sat Mar 14 2026

If you read line by line it will be pretty easy to install. Between 2 people it took about 5 hours with breaks along the way. Again read line by line. There was a few latches that oneone side were place differently than the opposite side. We got stuck here for about 30 min before realizing it was incorrect. Hardest part is the roof.. Sylvia. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm pleased with the shed I finished two days ago. We're using it as storage and a workshop while we convert our garage into a playroom for our kids. There are several things we like about it, including the design, ample space, affordable price, and the fact that it's easy to maintain with just a pressure wash. However, there are a few downsides. Since it's made of plastic, some of the pieces didn't fit together as smoothly as expected, despite my efforts to level the platform and deburr the edges. Specifically, some of the corner trim was slightly too long, which prevented the corner roof panels from fitting properly. Additionally, the holes in the top tiles didn't line up exactly with the main roof panels, even though the panels lined up with the trusses and walls. The window latches were also difficult to turn, and I had to trim the plastic inserts significantly to get them to work. I'll need to contact Lifetime to get a couple of replacement windows due to a manufacturing defect. Despite these minor issues, I'm satisfied with the shed overall. I did have some difficulty putting most of it together alone. The doors absolutely require two people, so it's definitely easier with help throughout. I'm glad I received good help with the doors. I didn't need to level or have any issues with the door assembly. I love the rolling double door and single door. It's great to open it up in nice weather and makes it convenient for ventilation when using a table saw and then blowing out the sawdust. The directions, YouTube video, and BILT app were helpful and straightforward. If you have DIY experience, it's not overwhelming, but it's still a big project that took me a full workweek to complete. There were a lot of screws and bolts, and it was much more time-consuming than the two other plastic sheds I've built before. I will be pulling an electric permit to run a subpanel for power and lights. I will also be building an internal wood frame. I am grateful for the product.. Benny. Portland, OR. Tue Apr 02 2024

Made in USA! As of today, my shed is 90% assembled. Not too physically difficult to put together but definitely need two people. I suggest using the assembly manual as a reference and watching videos on YT from people who have assembled them. It’s critical that the base is level and solid. I really love the look of my shed. So far so good. So far, Wayfair has done everything we asked of them and kept us up to date with appropriate notifications. Our shed just got delivered today, which is 2 weeks earlier than anticipated, and the delivery team was very friendly, competent and punctual. They exceeded our expectations. Now we wait to get the shed assembled which is a great service for Wayfair to offer since no local contractors want to deal with as quickly as Wayfair. I will return and amend with images when assembly is complete. Okay as promised here is amend number one - turns out the Assembly team was great but determined that one part of the pieces of the shed was defective and had to be ordered by the Assemblers took care of that. We had a cement slab poured to ensure the foundation was flat and the shed was level. We were informed it would be 2 weeks to get the replacement, and Wayfair decided they were going to send an entire new shed just to get one part. So for a couple more weeks we have a partially completed shed and we now wait for a replacement part (shed). I am optimistic but changing my stars for this review from 4 to 3 stars until Wayfair makes it better. Mark. Trumbull, CT. Sat Oct 31 2026

I love my storage shed!! As long as you follow the directions on YouTube and in the booklet you’ll be fine. It took us a total of 8 hours split between two days. It has a good amount of space! Some of the photos show the roof before we installed the skylights. You will definitely need two people! Make sure to put the shed together on a warm day, the pieces seem to install a bit easier.. It is very sturdy and looks great. It is very spacious and has great ventilation. At first the front doors were hard to align. We needed to adjust the alignment with some shims. Love the sturdiness with the metal frames it comes with. Has withstood some strong winds and it is still standing. Anonymous. Mon Jun 22 2026

Took my time setting up a level base (plywood) and setting up the shed. Instructions state "3 people are needed", but was able to do it myself, being careful and following each instruction step closely. Ended up with no leftover parts and a nice shed that did not leak water in a recent storm. Having a level base is very important so the parts will go together easier and doors will fit together properly.. Dennis. Portland, OR. Sat May 17 2025
