I was nervous at first, because the photos show the posts and headers as multiple pieces. However, we have had it standing in our deck for a few months now, and it holds up very well to rain and strong winds. It sagged in the middle at first, but when screwed in place to the deck, the header straightens right up. The brackets are heavy duty metal, fastened through pre-drilled holes in the treated wood. This unit arrived in four boxes and is extremely heavy. The unit came very well packaged and everything was very well wrapped so that it does not get scratched or damaged.
