I love my new gazebo!! It is beautiful and very elegant. It seems a little complicated to put together but it’s really not all you need is a little patience and the instructions. The manual says 4-5 people needed but in our case 2 seniors (hubby I) did it all by ourselves. Because of bad weather it took us 2 afternoons to assemble but it can be done in one. We are very happy with this gazebo. The wood quality is very good, and the finished product looks beautiful and sturdy in our backyard. Assembly was easier than expected. Two people in the family were able to put it together without hiring outside workers. The instructions were clear, and the parts fit together well. I would recommend wearing gloves during assembly to help avoid scratches or small injuries, and having a ladder will definitely make the process easier. One thing I would suggest is adding an extra coat of wood stain or sealer if you want more protection. I did that for mine because I want it to last longer. Even without it, I think the wood feels durable, but if you live in a humid area or want extra long-term protection, adding a wood sealer is a good idea. One of my favorite things is simply sitting inside the gazebo in the early morning or late afternoon. The shade, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Based on reviews and cost was the reason we went with this gazebo. It fits our space and the fact it has a metal roof was a great selling point. Our previous canopy had a canvas top which needed replaced every year. I did most of the install myself. I had very little help which was even necessary. It took me four days, so I went slow and steady. The picture only instructions were really pretty good. All the parts were there and all the holes lined up. Which brings me to building of the gazebo. I left all major screws and bolts that attached the horizontal rails to the legs loose. One of the issues mentioned in reviews was being able to make this thing “square.” I’m handy, but square can be tough at times. By leaving screws and bolts loose, it allowed me to make the necessary adjustments when installing the roof panels. Once all the roof panels were installed, I tightened up all the screws and bolts. I'll start with delivery. Gazebo arrived in 2 boxes, one box 2 days after I ordered and the other a day later. It was very well packaged, none of the pieces were bend or missing. 5-stars on that. Considering this is a huge gazebo with a price tag of just $1.1K I was a little worried about the quality. Was pleasantly surprised. It is solid and really looks like it will be able to withstand the test of time. Now about putting it all together. BTW, I am software engineer, not somebody who works at construction. On the first day I did all except the roof. I did it mostly by myself with a symbolic help of my 7-year old daughter. All of the holes lined up just fine and I did that in probably 4 hours or so. I read the comments how much of a hard time some of the others had with the roof, but since my first day was so easy, I was thinking maybe it was exaggeration. There are 20 different size panels that make up the roof. With the help of my 12-year old son, we just did 3 of them in about 3.5 hours. They just didn't want to slide into their places. The following day I tried again, and you basically need to figure out how to slide them in. Carefully, bit by bit, making sure they are lining up correctly. I wish I made a video, because there isn't much available on youtube and video that the supplier provided the link to, just doesn't have enough explanation. We love the gazebo! We wanted a large, shaded outdoor space without having to worry about flying insects, especially mosquitoes. I like the curtain options - only netting, completely enclosed (good for a movie night or even backyard camping), all open (those rare months where there aren’t any bugs. The gazebo is huge and we put an outdoor sectional and dining table under it. With plenty of room to spare. We did notice there were a couple of spots that leaked rain but nothing some outdoor caulk couldn’t take care of. I put up string lights and hung an outdoor rated fan for the summer heat. I ordered this and added the professional installation option. The gazebo itself arrived on time, and throughout the process Wayfair's customer service was responsive and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the installation experience was a nightmare. The contractors repeatedly cancelled appointments at the last minute, forcing us to reschedule multiple times. One morning appointment was even cancelled at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the installation. After several delays, someone finally arrived only to tell us that a required part was missing. We were then informed that the replacement part would take several weeks to arrive. At that point, we ended up canceling the order and begin the refund process. I appreciate Wayfair's customer service and how quickly they responded whenever we reached out. However, the installation contractor they use was awful. It was fairly easy for the workmen to assemble and get into place on my brand new concrete stamped and stained modern patio, so, yes, I highly recommend this, I've had it for about 2 years now, and it's really held up very well. When note is you wanna be sure to take the drapes in each year because it is a fine mosquito net mesh which does not stand up to harsh weather , so make sure to get those drapes in at the end of those summer.. This gazebo came out amazing. This is not something for a beginner to put together though. It came on a shipping palet with 5 very heavy boxes. It took my husband about a week to get it together. My husband and I got the bigger gazebo out of the two. It took us 8 hours to put it together. It was easy just time consuming. This is what I will say. We think its very nice. Its not as sturdy as we would like. However we mounted the gazebo to our deck to make it more sturdier. If there was one thing I would change it would be the roof. It is made of plastic.. Very pretty to look out of but dont not if it could withstand strong winds, rains or snow. We live in Michigan. We have strong winds and heavy snow. So we hope it will last through the winter.
