Love the way it turned out. It’s definitely a two person job. It was fairly simple assembly until you get to the roofing part. Putting on the metal roof was a challenge, but workable with two people- one on a ladder. The holes lined up exactly with all pieces, but a few times we had to maneuver them and adjust to line things up. We did line up all of the roofing pieces on the ground before beginning as shown in the instructions. Highly suggest that. After assembly, it didn’t not feel as sturdy as we wanted, so we mounted ours to 4 x 4’s and staked those into the ground with rebar. Feels sturdy now. We are very pleased with it.. Kellye. At first I was super upset when I got my packages. They were not handled as written on the box and had several puncture marks on them. I realize this isn’t a fault of Wayfair but they should be aware of the condition of packaging. All of my packages were delivered standing upright instead of flat. Despite a piece of wood being bent and the roof tin having a few dents it still went to together just fine. I did it myself, female. It took me 3 total days. Half a day to organize things and almost 2 12 to build it. No regrets at all. Just pay CLOSE attention to directions as you go so you don’t have to go back and fix anything. I made sure I wouldn’t have to. Good luck! No leaks or anything so far. Will have to be cautious in winter as ice will probably slide right off. Overall very happy with the results!. Jill. Kentucky. I love my new gazebo!! It is beautiful and very elegant. It seems a little complicated to put together but it’s really not all you need is a little patience and the instructions. Instructions were easy to follow and all the parts were properly labeled. We also used flower pots and cemented the legs in them to provide extra weight. We are very happy with this gazebo. The wood quality is very good, and the finished product looks beautiful and sturdy in our backyard. Assembly was easier than expected. Two people in the family were able to put it together without hiring outside workers. The instructions were clear, and the parts fit together well. I would recommend wearing gloves during assembly to help avoid scratches or small injuries, and having a ladder will definitely make the process easier. One thing I would suggest is adding an extra coat of wood stain or sealer if you want more protection. I did that for mine because I want it to last longer. Even without it, I think the wood feels durable, but if you live in a humid area or want extra long-term protection, adding a wood sealer is a good idea. One of my favorite things is simply sitting inside the gazebo in the early morning or late afternoon. The shade, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Based on reviews and cost was the reason we went with this gazebo. It fits our space and the fact it has a metal roof was a great selling point. Our previous canopy had a canvas top which needed replaced every year. I did most of the install myself. I had very little help which was even necessary. It took me four days, so I went slow and steady. The picture only instructions were really pretty good. All the parts were there and all the holes lined up. Which brings me to building of the gazebo. I left all major screws and bolts that attached the horizontal rails to the legs loose. One of the issues mentioned in reviews was being able to make this thing “square.” I’m handy, but square can be tough at times. By leaving screws and bolts loose, it allowed me to make the necessary adjustments when installing the roof panels. Once all the roof panels were installed, I tightened up all the screws and bolts. I'll start with delivery. Gazebo arrived in 2 boxes, one box 2 days after I ordered and the other a day later. It was very well packaged, none of the pieces were bend or missing. 5-stars on that. Considering this is a huge gazebo with a price tag of just $1.1K I was a little worried about the quality. Was pleasantly surprised. It is solid and really looks like it will be able to withstand the test of time. Now about putting it all together. BTW, I am software engineer, not somebody who works at construction. On the first day I did all except the roof. I did it mostly by myself with a symbolic help of my 7-year old daughter. All of the holes lined up just fine and I did that in probably 4 hours or so. I read the comments how much of a hard time some of the others had with the roof, but since my first day was so easy, I was thinking maybe it was exaggeration. There are 20 different size panels that make up the roof. With the help of my 12-year old son, we just did 3 of them in about 3.5 hours. They just didn't want to slide into their places. The following day I tried again, and you basically need to figure out how to slide them in. Carefully, bit by bit, making sure they are lining up correctly. I wish I made a video, because there isn't much available on youtube and video that the supplier provided the link to, just doesn't have enough explanation. I ordered this and added the professional installation option. The gazebo itself arrived on time, and throughout the process Wayfair's customer service was responsive and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the installation experience was a nightmare. The contractors repeatedly cancelled appointments at the last minute, forcing us to reschedule multiple times. One morning appointment was even cancelled at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the installation. After several delays, someone finally arrived only to tell us that a required part was missing. We were then informed that the replacement part would take several weeks to arrive. At that point, we ended up canceling the order and begin the refund process. I appreciate Wayfair's customer service and how quickly they responded whenever we reached out. However, the installation contractor they use was awful.
