Sun Pottery Classic Bird Bath has a unique, strong, locking device (not plastic). All Alcott Hill® glazed pottery and bird baths are fired in gas kilns. These are significantly more environmentally friendly than the large, standard, wood-fired "Dragon" kilns used by most of Alcott Hill® competitors. The "Dragon" kilns burn a huge amount of rubber wood at each firing which is very bad for the environment and doesn't provide even firing for the product. Alcott Hill® gas Kilns ensure more even colors and better quality products because the temperature is controllable; unlike that in the wood-fired kilns. Durable frostproof construction (up to 32 degrees F.).

We suggest that birdbath tops not be left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack. All birdbath/fountain bases, bench legs, and statuary should be raised off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Ideally, a fountain should be stored indoors in the winter away from the elements. However, if a fountain bowl must be left outside, remove all pumps, rubber stoppers, drain pipes, finials, and small components, and cover the top with burlap or any absorbent material (old blanket/towel) and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate in the basin and freeze. Fountain pumps, finials, and other small components should be stored indoors. Check the fountain periodically to ensure that the cover is secure and water is not accumulating in any fountain component.

Without a doubt, this is the classiest birdbath I have ever seen. Even the tiny chickadees can hold on the edge to get a drink. I love it as does my husband.. Carole. Tue Oct 01 2024

This garden bird bath water fountain promotes gentle water circulation while helping birds stay refreshed. Designed as a decorative outdoor water bird bath , the ceramic material offers excellent water retention, supporting steady flow and reducing frequent refills, ideal for patios, lawns, and backyard landscapes.

Beautiful, well built and not too noisy. The pump keeps the water moving, which will help with keeping it cleaner. The base is the reservoir so it doesnt need to be refilled very often. Cleaning the base may be tricky, so I am planning on using birdbath cleaner in it. I am planning on putting some rocks in the basin so smaller animals can drink out of it. Birds will love the running water. What a great addition to my garden this will make.. Berta. PA. Sat Apr 11 2026
