Medium Bird Baths

Sun Pottery Classic Bird Bath has a unique, strong, locking device (not plastic). All Alcott Hill® glazed pottery and bird baths are fired in gas kilns. These are significantly more environmentally friendly than the large, standard, wood-fired "Dragon" kilns used by most of Alcott Hill® competitors. The "Dragon" kilns burn a huge amount of rubber wood at each firing which is very bad for the environment and doesn't provide even firing for the product. Alcott Hill® gas Kilns ensure more even colors and better quality products because the temperature is controllable; unlike that in the wood-fired kilns. Durable frostproof construction (up to 32 degrees F.).

This 23.8-inch tall freestanding concrete bird bath is crafted from solid heavy 25.2 lbs weather-resistant cement with a natural gray stone textured finish, built to withstand rain, frost and sunlight without cracking or fading for year-round outdoor use; featuring a timeless vintage Roman fluted pedestal with delicate leaf carvings at the base and a scalloped ribbed rim shallow bowl measuring 16.5 inches wide and 4.7 inches deep, this two-piece split design assembles effortlessly without extra tools, and the detachable top basin enables easy cleaning, refilling and storage, acting as a stable bird water station for wild birds to drink and bathe while bringing elegant antique European charm to lawns, patios, backyards and gardens, and it can also be repurposed as a decorative planter bowl for succulents when not holding water.

We suggest that birdbath tops not be left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack. All birdbath/fountain bases, bench legs, and statuary should be raised off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Ideally, a fountain should be stored indoors in the winter away from the elements. However, if a fountain bowl must be left outside, remove all pumps, rubber stoppers, drain pipes, finials, and small components, and cover the top with burlap or any absorbent material (old blanket/towel) and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate in the basin and freeze. Fountain pumps, finials, and other small components should be stored indoors. Check the fountain periodically to ensure that the cover is secure and water is not accumulating in any fountain component.

Without a doubt, this is the classiest birdbath I have ever seen. Even the tiny chickadees can hold on the edge to get a drink. I love it as does my husband.. Carole. Tue Oct 01 2024

Adorable Side-Lying Black Bear Design – Unique bear statue holding two bird bath bowls adds charm and whimsy to any garden, patio, yard, or lawn

This bird bath is absolutely stunning. This, in large part, due to the fact that my handyman put a large water reservoir under ground and a pump to pump the water up to the top bird bath. The top birdbath overflows to the bottom birdbath and that flows back to the reservoir, keeping the water in the bird bath moving and fresh. My handyman also added two battery operated light up lilies, one in each birdbath, redid the base and added a bird feeder at the side. I am so pleased with the final result.. Wynona. Kiowa, CO.
