I’m extremely happy with this ceramic frying pan purchase. It’s safe for metal spatulas and spoons and it is absolutely nonstick, which I love because you don’t even have to use oil when cooking certain things. It’s not extremely large, but it’s got a tall rim so you can cook things in it and then when you bake it’s a deeper pan. There is no safer and better way to cook than a set of pans like these. You never have to worry about getting cancer with these. I have bought the most expensive, highly rated no stick pans and after a few years use, they ALL started to peal and scratch, even using the proper tools. These pans I treat like my cast iron pans of over 30 yrs. old. The first time I used them, I cleaned like my cast iron. It took about 8 uses but after that, the eggs slip right out. I never use soap on them, just a stainless steel scrubber with some salt and oil and than put a light coat of oil on them before I put away. If there is burnt on food, I put some water in them and let them sit while I eat and all I need to get the cooked on food off, is my stainless steel scrubber and they clean just as well as any non stick. I cannot believe this is not Teflon! I emailed viking and they told me this is 99 titanium a tiny amount of silicone oxide on the cooking surface. I tried frying egg with a teaspoon of avocado oil, the egg slid smoothly as if Teflon. Then I tried with no oil at all. It did not slide freely but with help of a silicone turner the egg still released flawlessly. (See the 2 photos I attached). This is beautiful and will be an amazing heirloom piece. I have 3 skillets from finex. I cannot recommend this brand enough. The pans are solid and heavy and truly are beautiful. Seasoning and reseasoning is something that I actually like to do to keep them non stick. These pans sit on my stove and they are what we us 95% of the time. Do it! They will last your lifetime and through your children’s lives. The pan comes unseasoned so the color is more bronze, after seasoning they will be black. First thing, we are big Henckels fans. We bought this pan and it is a work of art; a thing of beauty. Pictures don't do it justice. It is well engineered.
