We love the chair. It was easy to put together and fits well within the area we had wanted to place it. We anchored it by a wall since the sides do not connect together. I would say if you were using this without a wall bracing it, you may find that it is not very supportive but for us, we have it within a corner nook in our bedroom. It's a heavy plastic/wood. Took a few minutes to understand the assembly instructions, but I bought 3 of them so after the 1st one I was able to figure out the other 2. I'm 5'10" so it's a little lower than a standard chair but I am getting use to sitting on it. The top of the cousin probably will hit our calves.
