Product was as described. Just assembled it and placed outside a week ago so I'll see how it holds up in the elements. It did rain a few days so I checked to assure the inside was dry and my cushions were dry. The instructions shows it holds up to 485 lbs. We'll see how it holds up as extra seating. Just took off one star because I have not yet seen how it holds up in the sun/weather or as seating. If it holds up through that than 5 stars. As far as instructions, these are pretty good, clear and helpful! The tools provided would work fine, but I suggest using some of your own to speed up the process. Overall, I’m happy with this box! This is a very solid deck box. The installation was kinda annoying and it could be because I'm more of a picture follower and read when something doesn't make sense but the metal bar needs to line up with the notch in the middle after you connect the latch. I had it all screwed down and realized it and had to double screw that. Another one you have to watch out for are the hinges. But it's nice knowing this thing should last and it's very large. This is an attractive, functional, and economical deck box. I only gave it 4 stars because the lid will not completely close flat to the box (see photos), but otherwise it is great. It accommodates all my porch furniture cushions and the fully zipping polyvinyl interior bag is waterproof and fully protective. Right after assembling this piece and putting my cushions in it, we had a big rain storm that blew water sideways into my screened porch. After the storm, I lifted the lid and looked inside the box. There were puddles of water on top of the polyvinyl bag, but my cushions were kept completely dry. This piece is relatively easy to assemble, but I highly recommend purchasing a ratcheting allen wrench set before you begin this project. Please see my video. Trying to put this together without a ratcheting set is extremely tedious and time consuming. I also recommend you do not do this on top of a rough concrete surface because the color is not solid, throughout the poly rattan.
