This 81 year old grandmother snapped this thing together in record time ( easy instructions), stuffed three large chaise cushions inside and escaped the torrential downpour that followed. The deck box is the perfect box for my needs, I got the 50 gallon box. The box is made of resin, it’s waterproof and can be locked. I have placed the box on the deck, although, it can be used in the garage, patio, etc. I love that I can store fertilizer, various yard sprays, gardening tools, etc., in it. I’m having trouble writing this review. I thought for sure I had submitted it twice. Here goes and hopefully number three is a charm. I love the deck box. It’s sleek contemporary sturdy. I appreciate the hydraulic lift, but I have found it important to close it applying the pressure directly in the middle. I have not tested the lock, but I’m grateful for that, as I will be storing some valuable items in it while outside. I lost my large shed last month, so this is a lifesaver for me! It seats 2 to 3 people comfortably. With a sleek design, it would nicely fit behind a sofa, under a stairway or even delineate an area. I plan to place it out on my large patio to store cushions a small tool kit and anything else that needs to get put away to avoid clutter. I am planning on using it to store my gazebo canopy this coming winter. All in all, it’s a great deck box and the price can’t be beat. Extremely disappointed in Wayfair and this product. I ordered two of these products in each of them showed up damaged. The first one had two corners completely crushed in and dented. The second one arrived with a 2 inch punctured hole, through the metal even, in the side of the unit. When I opened the door, the knob was missing from the temperature controls. Once I found the knob, I tried to put it on where it belonged however, I realized that the whole unit that runs the temperatures was actually broken and did not even fit in the compartment to attach the temperature knob too. We plugged their unit in to see if it would run and work. The unit turned on and ran however it made extremely high-pitched random noises and ran completely uneven with different varying up and down pitched sounds, obviously the cooling unit is not working properly..
