The fans themselves are beautiful and work very well in our home. Installation was a pain, even for my dad who has installed many light fixtures and fans. Particularly, there is a decorative piece near the mount that you have to secure in order to hide the screws. It was nearly impossible to secure that piece. We eventually got it, but it took forever. The fan and light work well with the remote. The light can be dimmed and there are different speeds of the fan. I give it 5 stars for the look, but 4 stars for the assembly process.. Sara. It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954.
