Awesome upgrade!! It took a few days to arrive & when I received it I initially was worried about the hue of the gold tone...but once it was up I am so happy for the purchase. The installation seemed pretty straightforward out of the box....my handyman put it up fairly quick. Only critique was the battery that came with the remote was dead....so he fumbled with the fan/remote for an extra 10 min thinking something went wrong with the install...only for us to figure out that it was only the battery that was the culprit. Installation was relatively easy, fan runs very quiet. The remote control seems a bit temperamental, it doesn't always respond to the first push of a selected button. At times, I had to hold the remote up high pointing it directly at the top of the fan to get it to run on high speed. Also does not always want to shut off the lights in the first couple clicks.. We got this ceiling fan light for my sons bedroom and it is the coolest thing ever. Its way larger than we pictured even though we knew it was going to be big. It puts off a ton of air and really cools his room down quickly. The light options are awesome and he loves that he can dim the lights or make them brighter. No negatives to this light.
