This beautiful bath tub has been a labor of love - the process of choosing one that is. I looked at more modern styles by Victoria + Albert, and in person I was pretty disappointed with the volcanic limestone. It felt like cheap plastic to me & my husband. It could be fantastic, but it just felt cheap. I decided I wanted something more solid and classic in both look & feel. Cheviot has been a wonderful company to work with. I chose the custom exterior color “Midnight Navy” by Benjamin Moore, and I absolutely love it! Our home remodel and bathroom extension is still underway, so I haven’t had the tub installed yet. I have however sat in it many times, and it’s very comfortable. I do wish I would have gone for the longer size. I am 5’6 1/2”. Since the bathroom is on the 2nd floor, my contractor said we would need to bring the ceramic tub in through the window...in January...using a forklift! We are currently remodeling our old main bathroom. Our house is 120 years old and we picked this gorgeous claw foot tub to give it that vintage Victorian look. We haven't installed yet, since we are not finished with the work, but we can't wait to soak the first time in this beautiful tub. It came perfectly strong packed to protect it from any damage and the delivery was done with care. We are very happy with this purchase, like with all the others we made from Wayfair.
